Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
Made this LCHF Pizza today ( the crust is LCHF. Topping is my usual stuff that is LCHF on its own as it is. )
Not sure I like the crust... But, the topping is to die for!
Plus, new batch of homemade larabars. Mr. Husband says they taste like chocolate ( when I gave him this to try for the first time, he thought it was a chocolate. ). Mission accomplished! 🙂
That pizza looks soooo delicious. Might need that recipe 😉 LOL
My dinner goal tonight is to do a mushroom and crab pasta with a light cream and cheese sauce.
Perhaps some stuffed mushroom caps are in order as well. The last time I hit up Costco the baby bella mushrooms seemed full grown to me! 😛
Homemade Tiramisu is da best!
I went a bit wild on rum ( I put too much )... But, oh well... It's holiday time....
You eat two pieces, and you get this nice buzz... Bzzz.... 😄
How did I not see this until now. TIRAMISUUUUUUUUUU! I am dying here!
I would steal your Tiramisu and drink all of your rum!
Watch out, Lyra

I'm coming for you
I hope eating that rum wouldn't be a problem...? Because it is in the tiramisu. 😄
But, if you wanna drink it, I do have a very nice, spiced rum from Caribbean.... mmmm..... very yummy....
I will eat and drink all of your rum!!!
😍 my favorite!
Hello! For dinner today I made braised lamb shanks, with sides of organic purple potatoes and broccoli.
The lamb was grass fed and had a rub applied first that had various spices including turmeric. I pre-browned the shanks, removed them from the pan, and then sauteed some sliced red onion, garlic, and carrots. Then added some beef broth and saffron and roughly cut fresh mango. Then added the shanks back in. Photo before putting into 400-degree oven:
Then baked for 2 hours, covered, turning once after an hour, and taking lid off the last 20 minutes. Result in pan:
Dished up:
I would shank you for those lamb shanks!!
They look sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good...
So yummy Diwva! I take a big plate please!
