Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? ๐
@CookieGirl1 Agreed, you canโt go wrong when you get to control the toppings and amount of cheese ๐
I just ate @bakeamuffin and am full, but looking at your pizza makes me hungry! ๐คช It looks amazing!
Thank you Fi ๐ธ I bet what you had was excellent, you have such great taste @itsfi ! ๐
@bakeamuffin, itโs been a while since I had pizza so seeing your pic made me crave it. I spy some personal sized ones in the background - for the kiddoes? Did they help you with making the pizza or was this a mama special? ๐
Saw your post below about using provolone cheese - that would be delicious!
That looks incredible! @bakeamuffin Oh yes please. ๐ nom * nom nom * ๐
@CynthieLu The theme for my life is Pizza and Palettes ๐คฃ sounds like you relate ๐
@bakeamuffin That looks so ooey-gooey and delicious!
Thank you!! Forever inspired by the cheese pizzas in Disney movies growing up @JoSometimes ! ๐คฉ
This looks amazing @bakeamuffin ! What kind of cheese did you use to stuff the crust?
@Mellmars1185 @I used mozzarella but I really want to do provolone next time, itโs such a yummy cheese that melts really nicely too! You canโt go wrong with mozzarella though!
@Samtian Next best thing to having a pizza oven! ๐
Omorice is my current culinary Mt. Everest. If youโre not sure what omorice is, itโs deceptively simple; an egg omelette on a bed of rice. The challenge is getting the right consistency for the omelette. Itโs cooked so that the inside is still kind of โwetโ and creamy. When you slice it down the middle, itโs supposed to just unzip itself and open over the top of the rice (plenty of YouTube videos if you want to see this). I can sometimes make it right, but usually overcook it so that itโs just a regular omelette. Timing is everything!
I managed to get it almost perfect today. I put it over a bed of leftover fried rice from last night and topped it with tonkatsu sauce. I made a second one that I garnished a little better with sesame seeds and chives but forgot to snap a photo.
Your egg looks so light and fluffy @JoSometimes! Excellent job! ๐
@itsfi Thank you! This turned out surprisingly well. Most of the time I miss this by a minute or two and theyโre not the same.
