Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
This looks beautiful and delicious at the same time @jenner18 ![]()
Thank you @blackkitty2014 !
I take more photos of my food than of my makeup! I think that when you enjoy how your food looks it makes it really special.
I hope you have a good day 🙂
Stay at home life has forced me to step up my kitchen game. And with the free time and lack of people around at lunch I have been snapping photos of my creations.. I will definitely share them here!!
Also I love that @lylysa 's thread is still going strong! I miss your skincare advice - please come back to us!
yep...since I ran out of boxed mac, I've been making my own mishmash pasta w/nooch, braggs, italian herbs, cayenne, truffle powder...peanut butter. lol. 🙂
Oh sounds right up my alley! Not to brag but I am a master chef when it comes to nooch and cashew cream mac and cheese. Have you tried making it before it @treestar86 ??
@KatieBT haha, that's awesome! funny, I was going to say that cashew butter would be better, I'll have to get some next time. yeah I was vegan for 5 years, so I've made soooo many different vegan mac + cheeze's (even have the ultimate uncheese cookbook lol). but now I'm lazy so I just throw a bunch of stuff together until it tastes good, haha. braggs (or soy sauce) + nooch is like the best flavor combination ever!
@treestar86 just seeing this now! I will need to add Braggs next time, I have heard it's incredible! And that cookbook sounds right up my alley 😄
Panang chicken curry: My first try. Not shabby at all 😘
@blackkitty2014 That looks so good! Do you have a recommendation for a beginner's curry dish that isn't too spicy?
@Ispend2much6 you can actually make curry however you like it. Many restaurants now offer the same curry but different kinds of heat: not spicy, mild, hot or extra hot. Chinese/Vietnamese versions seem milder than the Thai version. The Indian version seems to be the hottest. I love spicy foods so I enjoy all versions of curries. My Indian co workers always have plain yogurt with curries to help with the heat.
This looks so good @NinaNee . I need to do some curry soup soon. 😘
