A companion thread to What's on your plate?
I thought it would fun to share what we’re all drinking. It could be your favourite tea or show of your crowd pleasing cocktail recipes. What’s in your cup?
Right now, I’m enjoying a nice cup of ginger peach tea with milk and honey. It’s nice and calming before bed.
@juneoper Pineapple and coconut are a delicious combo. That looks so cool and refreshing!
Late last month, my niece and I decorated hot cocoa bombs. We've been sharing one bomb per week with each other and whomever may be over, usually when I have her for after school care. We had the last one earlier this week.
Here we go...
Little helper hand
Voila! This was shared among 5 people - the little one made the executive decision to give me one marshmallow and keep the other two for herself; no marshmallow for the others. lol. When I asked her about it, her response was that they didn't help make the hot cocoa. Fair point. 😂
@itsfi I did not know hot chocolate bombs were a thing until just now. They look so fun! (I’m stealing this idea for my girls btw…)
@JoSometimes, you and your girls definitely need to decorate and make hot chocolate bombs! You’ll have so much fun! 😃 I’ve been seeing more “make your own” hot cocoa bomb kits in stores but you could make your own too.
@itsfi how decadent! And your niece sounds adorable. It's sweet that you decorated and shared them together, what a fun auntie-niece activity!
@JoSometimes Of course, a holiday drink from Starbucks! ❤️
@em2403 Which one did you get? I love mint chocolate, so I end up getting a few too many peppermint mocha frappes when they show up on the menu.
Crystal Light Iced tea-lemon or peach. Get that water in!
@BrendaC1971 I used to get those all the time! They definitely make water a little more exciting to drink.
Yes, yes, yes to getting in our water @BrendaC1971! 😍 Thanks for the reminder, I need to pull out my water drops; helps to give some variety with the daily water intake.
I tried the Bailey’s iced cap at Timmie’s today (non-alcoholic). It certainly tastes like Bailey’s but ohhhh myyy was it ever sweet!
@elise222 I should try that one next time. Did you find it to be too sweet?
@JoSometimes I found the bitterness of the cold brew kind of cut the sweetness. I did read a review that said the iced capp was insanely sweet, but they enjoyed the cold brew.
@elise222 I should have read reviews first! Plain iced caps are already just a touch above my sweetness tolerance. The Bailey’s one was waaaaaay above that. The cold brew sounds like a better option.
