What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Thanksgiving feast:

Roasted root vegetables, scalloped potatoes & sweet potatoes, roasted rainbow carrots & parsnips, roasted brussels sprouts, veggie roast (with gravy and gingered cranberry sauce), butterhorn rolls, and cashew nut roast with herb stuffing.

And dessert:

Apple and pumpkin pie a la mode!

Everything was homemade by my amazing mom (with help from me and my dad), and everything was delicious! I ate way too much but I have no regrets 😂 I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful Thanksgiving! 💜

Re: What's on your plate?

This is a feast! @caitbird It looks incredible! You mom put a lot of work into that meal but how great of you and your dad to help. 🧡 Helping hands really do make less work. And that result, it's perfect! 🍽️ 🦃

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  thank you so much! It was a truly amazing meal (and lots of leftovers too!). I had fun helping my mom with the cooking!

Re: What's on your plate?

@caitbird Your meal looks absolutely delicious!! Heart and stomachs full. That sounds like a perfect Thanksgiving to me! 💞

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185  thank you so much! it was a really wonderful holiday, full of great food and great family time 💜

Re: What's on your plate?

That looks restaurant-worthy,, @caitbird .

Re: What's on your plate?

@CookieGirl1  thank you! My mom really outdid herself (again)!

Re: What's on your plate?

@caitbird  That's quite a feast; everything looks scrumptious!

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6  thank you so much! Everything was delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

Everything looks fantastic! I hope you had a spectacular Thanksgiving, homemade is always so nice 😊 @caitbird

Re: What's on your plate?

@peculiarzmakeup  thanks so much! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving too!

Re: What's on your plate?

@caitbird  Your Thanksgiving dishes look amazing. I’m hungry just looking at them 😋😘👍

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014  thank you so much! 😊

Re: What's on your plate?

Kids, don't broil your green bean and sweet potato casseroles.

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 Thank you for sharing this with us! I love how we can all learn from each other. I am glad you were able to still eat them. I am afraid of the broil setting. It had never worked out in my favour 😆

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185  Maybe one day, for both of us!!

Re: What's on your plate?

Oooh that's a shame @Ispend2much6 they look like they would have been wonderful. Broiling is touchy. I use that setting on pizza to get the cheese just right after it's done cooking, but it can easily go from oh yeah to oh no! So fast. 😱

Re: What's on your plate?

Excellent idea on the pizza cheese @CynthieLu !

Re: What's on your plate?

I think it’s great you tried something new and I know it may not have turned out the best but I did read below that the middle part was good. I hope it was a lovely occasion for you 🙂 ❤️ @Ispend2much6

Re: What's on your plate?

Hahaha at least you cooked @Ispend2much6 . We traveled and didn’t even help my in-laws. We just arrived in time for Thanksgiving dinner @Ispend2much6 😘
