Use Your Foil Samples Challenge 2018

Hi everyone, We are almost to the last month of our challenge, time flew by fast! For December, sonnydee, scott1201, and eshoe have an idea for a sub challenge called “Deluxe December” Use up as many deluxe samples as you wish! As always, post your progress weekly, or end of the month- whenever you want- including foil samples too. Thanks to all contributors, (anyone can participate at any time). ❤️

Not going down without a fight. 20/40 now used, I am behind schedule but using foils daily! Will finish the SK-II tomorrow and maybe the La Mer as well.Would buy the fresh, it’s good but not outstanding for me.

 Used the Nūface prior to home dermaplaning tonight. Good, and I know there’s lots of love for it but it’s just too difficult to tell off of one use. The Ouai, didn’t care for but their Rose oil is 👍🏼

@eshoe I like some of the Ouai products but I HATED how the repairing shampoo and conditioner smelled!  I received foils, too, and I thought/hoped I'd like them but wow--the scent was overpoweringly grandmother-ish.  This is one of those "the sample DIDN'T make me buy it" scenarios.

@CookieGirl1 I really want to love this line but so far the rose oil is what I am attached to, because I love almost anything rose! I totally understand.

@eshoe I haven't tried the Rose oil but I love the Wave Spray (I use it to add a little oomph at my roots because I have stupid-flat hair) and I love the smell of the dry shampoo so this duo was a major disappointment

@eshoe I agree, the OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil is wonderful! I've only tried the Oaui volume shampoo and conditioner and I didn't care for it either - the scent was nice, it was okay, just not for me.

15/40 used now woohoo😂

No loves here, the Tatcha sample only had enough product for 1 use. I liked it but have no idea how it would work under makeup:/ 

The Sunday Riley was nice, but I have plenty of serums. The Omorovicza has a medicinal scent and was too drying for my skin. The Amore Pacific was nice, just not hydrating enough for me. Might be better suited for those with oily or combination skin.

 Just opened, enough for 1 use. Would have loved to try at least once more to have a real opinion.

Sorry for the delay, last week was a mixed week as I used up 11 samples but received 12, YTD totals are now 527 used and 354 received. Favorites of new samples tested are the Moroccanoil Shampoo and Conditioner, the Kopari Coconut Face Cream and from my new favorite brand Kiehl's Midnight Recover Oil. Not that I didn't like the other samples but having tried so much this year it doesn't make sense to repeat myself here. see you next week.

Hit a snag the beginning of last week when I had a sensitivity reaction to something. I don’t suspect any of last week’s foils BTW. So, focusing now on lippies, hair samples, etc. LOVED the Marajo Deep Treatment Butter. Very kind and hydrating to my fried hair. Will purchase. Loved the belief Moisture Eye Bomb. I had already purchased it. Loved the Tarte H2O gloss in Room Service. Works well with neutrals, giving just enough pink to make things interesting. LIKED the Grande Lip foils, But the colors just did not grab me. I also liked the Buxom plumper gloss but that color didn’t work for me. (Spoiler alert: this week I’m working on a Buxom color I love) Liked the Sephora Creme Satine for how moisturizing it felt but the Tan Lines color was too orange for my coloring. Liked the Living Proof No Frizz Conditioner, but I love their PHD Conditioner more. HATED the Moroccan Oil Color Complete because I could not get past the smell. Hated the Moschino Scent, just not for me. Aveda Volumizing Tonic? Didn’t like it. I think volumizing must mean something different to me.

@christyrc Great job on that Tarte gloss!  I have such a hard time panning lip products no matter what the size is.  I'm sorry to hear you had a sensitivity reaction.  I hope you are feeling a lot better.

Wow, so many pretty lippie samples @christyrc! Nice! Sorry that you had a reaction to something; hope you are able to pinpoint the cause. I’m pretty sure I have samples of the Marajo and belif products; will have to add them to my “things to try” this month. 😊

Perfume vial is VS sexy now hunted down amika velveteen- found cond at Marshalls for $10 but had to order shampoo from Amazon (can't beat 2 day shipping)...I had to have it, it gave me beautiful Barbie hair!😍 most surprising was the skin food black sugar mask. I used it in the shower 4 times. Loved the way it made my skin feel & it's cheap.! I'll probably buy it when I get thru some of my dozen exfoliator samples

Lots of new products this week @sonnydee! I have not smelled every product in the Skinfood Black Sugar line, but the ones I have smell so nice, and they are great exfoliating masks! 😊 

What is the foil next to the Koress peel samples (and below the love, beauty and planet foils) in your first pic?

That shouldn't be there @itsfi😉 it was part of my full size empties (empties thread) l saw it after I posted it.....said crap! But I'm lazy. hahaha. *anyways* it's a shower bomb I picked up from Wal-Mart. It smelled nice but it & it's smell didn't last long at all. 😩

Is that the 2-Step Korres peel, @sonnydee? The first is a clear yellow-tinted gel and the second a pink rose-scented cream? Oooh the little skinfood jar is too cute! It’s great, isn’t it😊Also, I felt the same way about that bliss cleanser. It sounded good, too🤷🏼‍♀️

yes @eshoe that's the korres rose peel. I have 2 more sets but besides smelling good, I didn't see anything to wow me. I used it twice, a week apart to make sure it didn't break me out. But I think its discontinued anyways. I got the skin food in a ipsy bag & almost gave it away but I'm so glad I wanted to scrub my face this week.! It's been sooooo hot☀ down here in FL

Ok this is bad news for me, @sonnydee. I ❤️❤️❤️ that peel, it works wonders for my skin! It’s a good thing you didn’t like it though since it is discontinued 😭

Halfway through sample September! 

I had had to break the samples into two pictures since I was traveling and didn’t want to bring home a bunch of empty foils. I generally liked everything this go around except the fragrances. I could t get the Clean to work ( 😞 ) and the Jo Malone bluebell was too flowery for me. 

So, 12 samples used this week! Since I’m mostly down to DS it is taking a bit longer to work through each product
