I received an order today with four new lipsticks,

(Lancome L'Absolue Lacquer...I will never ever stop mentioning these every-dang-where 😄😍)

but had absolutely no room for them in my containers. While the thought "buy more containers" crossed my mind for a brief second, I quickly dismissed it as I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with too much stuff. I'd been pulling out one or two here and there, but today was the big reckoning!Sorry I didn't stage a better pic, but that's 55 lip items that are now gloriously gone from my stash!

This is only the stuff I pulled today; I have a small train case packed full of the other lippies (and some palettes) that I've been slowly pulling over the last couple of months. Do I still have more I could get rid of? Yeah, most likely...if I was on the fence, I erred on the side of keeping it rather than tossing. And I didn't swatch every single keeper to weed out similar shades, so there's probably still a good bit of overlap in my berry-heavy collection. But my oh my, I feel soooo much better now. I found not only things I had forgotten about, but things I really had no clue I even owned in the first place 🤣

The foundations and the TF and Hourglass palettes are pretty old. These along with the BareMinerals had been on the chopping block before and I'd kept them around but it's time to let them go. The ND minis I just don't reach for so I'm passing them on. The Judydoll and eyebrow products are very recent but just not for me (shades are off). The Addiction Tokyo lip oil is nice but when you first apply it it tastes like pine needles and I can't get over it. It dissipates fairly quickly but I just can't.

recent batch of declutters that I actually remembered to take a picture of, hooray! 😂 A lot of these are very, very old - I found the - long-discontinued - Maybelline lip gloss while I was cleaning out my purse 🙈 A couple are just the wrong shade, and a couple others are good normally but have dried out. The deodorants were bit of a failed experiment - I wanted to try something different from my usual couple of deodorants, and these ones both smell really nice, but don't last all day for me, so I am always going to reach for my tried-and-true deos instead. The vitamin C serums I am getting rid of because I have been using another that I like better, and I know they don't last long. In the future I will do my best not to buy so many more than I can use!

Still need to do more decluttering of my overflowing stash, but I'm happy that I managed this much for now.

Lovely collection of declutters. It really resonated with me when you said “found in purse” I feel like that is so true, like places like the car, or out of the usual makeup station, I’ll find things everywhere, I love your ideas for the process of declutterring. I’m working on doing that with all my crystals, my makeup collection is adding up too haha 🫶 @caitbird

@heartsmyface  it's the Timeless Skincare 20% vitamin C serum. I like it, and feel like it's more effective than others I've tried.

Got through some of my lippie collection earlier today and got rid of a few other things I bumped into along the way. A very small start but feels good to make a little bit of room 🙂 I'm tossing these either due to age or the fact I just don't reach for liquid lipsticks at all any more.

@QueenMarceline That's unfortunate about the liquid lipsticks being too old/uncomfortable. They were super pretty colours tho! 😏

@QueenMarceline sometimes it feels so good to just get rid of stuff that you don't use.  I always end up feeling guilty when I have stuff just sitting in my collection; I feel like I should use them but don't actually want to use them and it's almost a relief just to get rid of them so that they aren't staring at me 😬.

@QueenMarceline  Looks like a good declutter to me.  I forced myself to wear liquid lipsticks during their prime and now mostly only reach for the Gucci ones cause they’re comfortable and last so well- and I mostly only do that when I want to alter my lip shape.

@QueenMarceline I still have some ABH liquid lipsticks, which are probably the worst offenders. With all the hype around the Dior Forever Liquid Sequin, I was thinking about the ABH Sad Girl and Sarafine lipsticks, which were some of my favorites. If they brought those back with improved formulas, I’d be all over it.
