Beauty Goals for 2026

Does anyone have any beauty goals for the new year?  I've been thinking about a few myself and was curious if others were doing the same?

 ✔️Certain brands to try

✔️ New techniques to work on

✔️Threads to follow along with and post about on BIC through the year

✔️Organization

✔️ Decluttering

Personally I'm hoping to

💜Post my empties once a month (I fall behind and end up with months on end to do at once) Empties - V2 and have used up at least 365 items

💜Stick to my Pan It! - 2026 Challenge for the entire year

💜Attend one if not two Beauty Conventions.

💜Shrink my collection by gifting away some unopened product in order to have more space in my organization system.

💜Use up at least 100 of my sheet masks.  They are years out of date at this point and I do not want to go into 2027 with a huge box of them. 

💜Find a loose powder I love

💜Pass on any fragrances and body sprays that are not to my liking anymore.

💜Not let myself go so long between haircuts and hair dyes.... The silver is sneaking in more and more!

Absolutely @curlychiquita! That serum sounds amazing but I have to pick it up on sale, and preferably if I can apply a gift card or redeem points/$$$ in connection with it. 😆 I think they may have repackaged the product so I'll also keep my eyes out for stores that may be looking to move inventory of the old packaging.

I'm so close to finishing but I've had these for such a long time that it's quite the challenge to reach for them let alone even remember they're in my stash - or it may be that I want to just think that I've already used them up. Ha! As far as how long I've had them? We're just going to say that these are vintage Tom Ford Traceless. 😬

They’re truly vintage @itsfi. Didn’t TF discontinue them? Anywho, mine looks liked the one on the right. I gave myself til March. Not sure if I can commit to the foundation stick which the only foundation I have left. Im so tempted just toss the TF stick and get a new foundation. 🤣😂

Yes, I think they started phasing out the line a couple of years ago @blackkitty2014 - I want to say it was in 2024. They came out with a new foundation around that time- the Architecture one, in the more rectangular (and glass?) bottle. That one has more of a glowy finish. If I can finish these by the end of March, I’ll be happy, but I’m thinking before summer is more likely. We’ll see.

- Stick to a low/no buy until Sephora's first sale (I can buy necessities such as cleanser or moisturizer). 

- Stay on top of keeping my collection decluttered, say every six months or so.

- Possibly try a low/no buy after Sephora's first sale until the second sale.  I'm thinking about retirement in a couple of years.  I can't continue to spend the way I have.  Now would be good time to ease my way into better spending habits. 🙃

@Titian06  those are great goals! I definitely need to rein in my spending, too - I need to start saving more money and being more mindful about Beauty (and non-beauty) purchases.

Retirement being so close sounds amazing!  Very smart of you to be on top of your financial situation to make it happen smoothly!

Mine is just to stay on top of organizing and trying my products I get. 

I already cleaned and organized my entire house last year and did an inventory check.

Love this! @missjeanie , some similarity to you, I have essentially two themes and goals/subgoals

Optimization of the house I've built 🤣

1. Decluttering 
2. Gifting
3. Usage/Figuring out what would go where on a desk/vanity situation in the works 
4. Tossing the unsalvageable 
5. Low buy? For now this is not buying everything I see and only the things I've scoped reasonably such as the Lunar New Year brush and Tatcha Lucky Bag.

Stay Fabulous:

1. Perfecting & learning techniques 
2. Staying Fabulous (mindset - not everyday needs to be full glam unless I want it to be, but am I enjoying my pretty things)

Circling back to decluttering to minimize re-cluttering ... when to indulge: 

1.  Things I burn through with ease are black eyeliner, concealer, brown pens (not pencils), body butter - so if I see a deal on an HG, go for it
2. Minis or samples for discontinued.  I have a stash of HGs that no longer exist.  At some point, if I'm still wearing the same level of makeup, I still want to have an idea vs being nascent
