Real reviews and results on the “The Ordinary” brand

RE: Real reviews and results on the “The Ordinary” brand

I’ve been using the ordinary for a couple of years. Honestly I don’t think any of these serums are very potent and I’ve now developed a sensitivity to niacinamide. I also began to be concerned about the preservatives they were using and switched. It appears that ‘natural” when used layer over layer isn’t even close to natural.... and can be worse than synthetic, so I’ve moved on to something that works better for me. I think these products are all hype. The retinol did Nothing for me and I’ve been using retinol since age 14 (I’m 46).

I used The Ordinary serum’s for a while and I decided to try a different line called Timeless. It is a little more expensive but SO worth the money. I use the 20%C+E+Ferulic Acid serum also the Coenzyme Q-10 Serum the the 2 have been wonderful for my skin. I would definitely recommend checking them out. ❤️

Re: Real reviews and results on the “The Ordinary” brand

Hey @Gigi0417 I was actually just about to write a review about the ordinary on their product page! I’ve used a few The Ordinary products previously, but wasn’t sure what results I should be seeing. Then, my aesthetician who I get facials with, recommended I use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 8 oz/ 240 mL  help combat my blackheads. I was a bit skeptical bc my blackheads are super stubborn and I've never come across a product that kept them at bay. Was also kinda shocked that instead of recommending expensive products from her salon, she recommended such an affordable product. Well, I've been using the Glycolic Acid every night for the past 3 months, applying it on the textured side of a cotton pad for mild exfoliation, and it's definitely made a difference. My mom used to mention that my blackheads were still somewhat noticeable under makeup; now she tells me they are significantly less prominent whenever she sees me. I went back for another facial just last week and my aesthetician spent much less time extracting blackheads from my nose and upper lip line (sometimes this area can have build up through extensive lip balm/stick wear), since a lot of it had been cleared up via the glycolic acid. Hope reading my experience was helpful for you if you have any similar skin concerns!

Hey Gigi....does this company use glass bottles? I’ve been looking at purchasing some Ordinary product and I prefer glass...reusable! Thanks in advance!

Re: RE: Real reviews and results on the “The Ordinary” brand

@Captain1970  The Ordinary uses glass dropper bottles for anything they don’t sell in a tube.
