Thanks for the tag @Mellmars1185 ! I’ve been doing self care in the form of bubble baths and face masks every week since April. I love running a bath with Dr.Teals and relaxing with sheet masks I picked up from Japan last year. In honor of self care day today, I was able to make some “me time” after work so thank you again for the reminder 💛
@gonerogue Ohh what a lovely treat! I bet the sheet masks from Japan are nice. Are you going to stock up on some more when you go back! I am glad you were able to make some time for you.
@Mellmars1185 Self care day!!! Okay my self care today after a long day at work is giving myself 10 minutes of BIC time before going to bed crazy early and sleeping more than 4 hours. That said... I'm going to come back and aim for something a little more fun for this weekend!!

My self care is doing makeup once a week for practice, skincare at night or in the morning, Pilates mat class self integration at home.
Thursday and Friday I will be in the studio training my son's friends Mom and my Mom. I always say motion is lotion and Pilates is about mindful movement.
@SportyGirly125 Thank you 😊! Doing makeup for practice is a great way to practice self care. I feel like there is no pressure to get it perfect and you can be as creative as you want! I have never tried pilates. From what I have seen it looks like a great form of exercise. That is wonderful!
@Mellmars1185 it’s intentional movement that can heal. It can also help your posture, strength, and stability in daily life.
I took a club Pilates class last week. I couldn’t believe how intense the beginner class was. If I didn’t already know what I was doing I could see people getting injured. It was free for 30 minutes so I wasn’t upset but I won’t be going back as I saw some red flags from a Pilates teacher in training point of view. Maybe I just got a bad instructor,
@SportyGirly125 I should do some research on it. It sounds great. Thank you for sharing your experience. As a beginner, I would not know what to look for. I am sure this will help people who are just starting out. How did you get introduced to pilates?
@Mellmars1185 after having 2 kids I noticed whenever I exercised I had doming on my stomach. Went to pelvic floor PT and was diagnosed with diastasis recti (ab separation). Mine was 3 fingers. After I got discharged they told me to do Pilates for strength training where I met my master teacher.

@peculiarzmakeup What a wonderful day full of self care. I really like your list. It sounds productive and relaxing at the same time. Do you have any tips for falling asleep? I am still learning about what face masks work for me. Is there anything specific you are looking for the face mask to target? I know there are a lot of experts over on 💕😌 2024 Masking Challenge 😌💖
I love making lists! For sleep I really like hot tea, no screen time an hour or two before, soothing sounds, reading. Self care routine is really helpful to wind down too! I was organizing my makeup and found I still had some Tatcha The Clarifying Clay Mask Exfoliating Pore Treatment 1.7 oz/ 50 mL left I have the sample size from the direct site it smells really good and soothing 🙂 yes the group certainly has great suggestions too! 🫶❤️ @Mellmars1185
@peculiarzmakeup Lists are so helpful. I like writing them before bed also to get the things I am thinking about out of my mind and on the paper. Crossing tasks off the list can be so satisfying. I also like listening to a wind down meditation. Wow - finding a Tatcha mask must have been so rewarding. I have not tried that one before.

I didn't realize there was a day to celebrate but what a great focus!
I picked out a healthy lunch for myself today, after a few big BBQ meals lately it felt important to go for a lighter and veggie packed meal, and I think it really fits with the theme of the day. 💝
