We’ve started to see some of you buzzing with excitement here on the BIC because Sephora’s Spring Savings Event is nearly here. This means it’s almost time to make some shopping decisions! We know many of us are sheltering in place, which may mean we’re focusing on at-home self-care like candles, skincare tools, or even immunity-boosting products. We are also seeing that a lot of people have been sticking to their daily beauty routines so may want to pick up their holy grails and a new product or ten (or maybe that’s just us?). Regardless of what you’re shopping for, most of us can agree that a Sephora package (for yourself or a loved one) is a great mood-lifter, especially when it comes at a discount!
If you’re Rouge (like us!) you will get 20% off your purchase, VIBs get 15% off, and Insiders get 10% off. We have everything detailed in these FAQs if you want to know more about exclusions, how to shop, and when this sale is happening for your Beauty Insider tier, so be sure to read the FAQs.
Many of us either like to ask questions or give advice to inspire others’ shopping decisions. In this community of beauty lovers, it’s nearly impossible to find a product somebody hasn’t tried so let’s use this thread to help each other out.
What are you adding to your basket for the Spring Savings Event? Comment below to share your basket or ask the Community for advice!
@Kim888 The tangle spray has the same scent as the body wash- slightly almond, slightly clay. I have used the two you mentioned, but only once. My hair looks a little like I used a sea salt spray after it air dries, with more waves than curls.
My hair is not quite as soft as when I use Alterna products, however, my hair is less tangled, even the day after shampooing! This is the best product I've tried for day-after tangles.
I've been losing hair lately, a small handful when I wash it, plus, believe it or not, some of the curl clusters at my ends have just been breaking off when brushing! It will be interesting to see if that stops once I use the DE products regularly. Plus, it won't set off asthma with a strong scent.
@Ispend2much6 @Thanks for your thoughts! I do really like that almond scent on the line so that’s a plus!
@Kim888 You're welcome and I hope it helps!
My sleep schedule is so messed up lately anyway so I was wide awake at midnight and had my shopping cart ready to go with almost everything, but Fenty was dropping those gorgeous blushes today so I had to wait to pick up a couple of those, too. At 12:05 I put the order through and I can hardly wait to get it! I also added some restocking products like Grande Cosmetics lash serum and their lash conditioner. Stacked Skincare had a great dermaplaning tool so I got a few more replacement blades for that, a couple of new mascaras to try out, and no cart is ever complete without a little Charlotte Tilbury, the pressed powder and Pillowtalk lipstick and liner. I’m probably going to start another cart soon since we have some time to get more stuff. Do I need it? No. However, the only things I spend for myself are skincare and cosmetics. No fancy clothes, shoes, hair or nail salons. This is my chance to loosen those purse strings a little and I’m having the time of my life. Oh, and sunscreen! Supergoop makes amazing sunscreen, something for everyone. I bought extra to share with my sister who never used to use sunscreen until I gave her some of the glow stick sunscreen and she loves it. I’m so excited for this sale!!!!! And Fenty eyeliners - must buy more.
I was almost asleep last night when I decided to check if code was live and immediately placed my order. I forgot to add PETER THOMAS ROTH - PRO Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment and may have to place a separate order for it but I am so happy I ordered DDG Spectralite face mask last night because now it is OOS.
Yay, glad you could get it, @fatimamummy!
@fatimamummy that SpectraLite looks intense but amazing! Great job getting it before it sold out!
I thought of you right at midnight when it went live and willed you to be awake!! My brother in law bought one for my sister and got the “only a few left in stock” message.
@GG84 I think your vibes reached me, I was in the bed at 1am thinking I may wake up early morning to place my order. It was an afterthought that made me grab my phone to check on the code. I’m glad I did. I haven’t been this excited about a purchase in a long long time 😁
I love doing my eyebrows, but I have a scar through one that most makeup I find doesn't stick to, which makes my eyebrows look uneven. Does anyone have any reccomendations on an eyebrow product that is easy to use and I might have a better chance of staying put?
a million ago, there was this woman I used to see at every live show, bar or club I went to. She was so strikingly beautiful you couldn’t help but notice her. She embraced her scar, as I think you should. I’m sure you’re very beautiful too. That being said, the problem with most eyebrow products is they have a lot of wax or silicones in them. If you want to cover your scar, I would get a waterproof gel, like Makeup Forever’s that comes in a tube. It goes on like a solid, not sheer, so you’ll want to play around with it for awhile. I suggest using it just to fill in some gaps instead of the whole brow. Let it dry, and then I would go over with a powder, which will make it softer and more natural. Anastasia seems popular, but I really like Sephora’s brand or Mac eyeshadow. And always primer first!
I'm glad you could get your items, @rrroxanne!
This is what I got today. I’m still debating a few things and I really hope the new Charlotte Tilbury serum is released during the sale🤞
I am going to be wanting to get a new moisturizer... I have very dehydrated skin. Any recommendations? Nothing that will be too oily under makeup. I have been trying out the Milk Makeup Vegan Moisturizer and I LOVE how it soaks into my skin and looks nice under makeup, but my skin still gets tight later in the day. : (
LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream Was great for me!! A thicker formation but it helped my skin stay hydrated all day long. I would apply it after using the Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx® Exfoliating Peeling Gel for Dullness, Pores & Uneven Texture 3.4/100 which has done wonders for my dry spots (around my nose, lips, chin and sometimes cheekbones/under eye)
@SanaK love how gentle the PTR Firmx is!
