Monthly Favorites: September 2023 Edition!

Bye-bye, summer! 👋🍂 I’m welcoming fall, BIC – who’s with me? Ready for warm baths and vampy lips to make their annual return to my routine. The weather is getting colder already and I’m all about hydration; my hair is feeling particularly dry at the moment, so I’ve been trying to show it some extra TLC! I also got my hands on a couple new makeup products that I tried for the first time this month and instantly fell for – after a summer of dewy, barely-there makeup, I’m challenging myself to revisit more dramatic looks this season. ✨

Here are some of the products I reached for most this month:

@GeorginaBT I’m really enjoying Tower 28’s makeup offerings. I just wish they had a better shade range for the concealer. And the tinted sunscreen needs to come (back?) to Canada!

Ahhh, hair masks @GeorginaBT! 😍 My goal this fall & winter is to use my hair masks more consistently, regularly. Wish me luck! 🤞🏼 That amika masks smells soooo good! 

I’ll be late posting my favorites this month but I can tell you now that a favorite event / occurrence that I’m particularly looking forward to before this month ends is SEPHORiA and meeting some of the beauties on BIC face-to-face! ♥️ So excited!!!

@itsfi At this point I almost use hair masks in place of a regular conditioner! My hair has been spoiled lately 😅

Have the absolute BEST time in NY! <3333 Can't wait to hear all about it!

@GeorginaBT   That's actually a great idea.  Using the Kiehl's olive repair mask as a conditioner brought my damaged hair back to health.  My hairdresser asked me what I used because she saw how dry my hair was when I started with her.

I've yet to try that one @Ispend2much6! Need to add it to my list... ✍ Love when you see a noticeable difference!

@itsfi Nothing like a gooood masking session after a fun-filled trip! 🥰 I'm working through my Amika mask at the moment, but if I had to pick five masks (in no particular order!) ...

@GeorginaBT Ironically I was looking into the Youth To The People Polypeptide-121 Future Firming + Hydrating Moisturizer 2 oz / 59 mL a few days ago because I'm going to need a new moisturizer soon.  Is it more of a light moisturizer  or does it have a little more oomph?

@CookieGirl1 Ooh moisturizer shopping! 🥰 In my experience, I see the YTTP one as a bit on the lighter side - not quite a gel consistency but definitely not as thick as Skinfix barrier+ Strengthening and Moisturizing Triple Lipid-Peptide Refillable Cream with B-L3  which I actually alternate with. On days that I'm really feeling the dryness, I'll use my Skinfix overnight, but YTTP is more of a daily moisturizer as someone with oily/combo skin.

This skin fix triple lipid brought my skin back to LIFE and I am dry dry dry. So dry that if I was my face and do not instantly put something on, it feels like my face is cracking off and looks like a reptile.

@Mellmars1185 @No fallout with the blushes. The light pink one has a lot of kickback compared to the darker pink one.
