Monthly Favorites - November 2023
Happy November, BIC! I’m over here still waiting for that crisp, fall feeling to kick in (it’s still unseasonably warm here in California 😅), but there’s no denying that the Holiday szn is officially here -- ready or not! Speaking of which, I can’t wait to see what new goodies everyone picked up at the Sephora Savings Event earlier this month, if you shopped the sale! As for me, I managed to find a few new favorites in November, but mostly shopped my own stash to keep myself in check. It’s all about ~balance~ 😉.
Here are the products I’ve been loving this November:

Thank you so much @QueenMarceline 😊💓
@lmaster Fabulous faves! I didn't even realize there was a Topicals primer -- good to know!
Thank you @AlexBT I have had great luck with it!
Congratulations 🎉 on finding a fantastic primer this month! That is a definite skincare routine win. 😉
I was lucky enough to get a trial size of that mask by Clairns @lmaster it is pretty excellent right?
Thanks love! @CynthieLu I've noticed my skin gets softer and softer with every use of the mask 🙌
That Guava hand cream sounds amazing, @lmaster! Benton has a few good products, I forgot about this eye cream but remember that I loved it.
Oh it's a great eye cream!! @eshoe ♥️
I finished off a different moisturizer so I got to open my backup Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Refillable Moisturizer 2.5 oz / 75 ml that's been waiting in the wings and I was instantly reminded of how much my skin LOVES it.
Another revisited product that I've been loving is the Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara Noir; I'd had a mini awhile back (and enjoyed it then) and bought the duo bundle during the sale. It's so good! I'm happy to have the value set.
Again, an old favorite-- Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Illicit Green Eau de Parfum. I literally just finished off my bottle and promptly had to order a new one (convenient since it's Sale Season!) because it's practically all I've been wearing lately.
Finally, I'm back on my haircare kick where I want to try EVERYTHING and I've fallen in love with a K-beauty shampoo from the brand Dr. ForHair and it's the Folligen Bio-3 variant (sounds scientific, right? 😅). I actually bought it on a whim while browsing Yesstyle. It's supposed to be gentle on the scalp while promoting hair growth and while I haven't been using it long enough to know if it really helps with that, I just love it because it makes my hair feel incredibly clean--almost as though I'd used a clarifying shampoo--without being dry or stripped and it has a delightfully cooling sensation on my scalp. My shower normally has 4 or 5 shampoos in it at any given time but this is the one that I constantly find myself wanting to use.
That shampoo sounds right up my alley @CookieGirl1!
@faeriegirl I LOVE it. I had no expectations going in--I'd never heard of the brand prior to finding it on Yesstyle--but it just works so well for my hair. The best way that I can describe how my hair feels after using it is balanced. It's not too dry but not weighed down because of over-moisturization and it feels so clean without being stripped! The only thing that I don't love about it (but I've gotten used to it at this point) is that it has a definite menthol scent to it but it doesn't linger in my hair or anything like that and by the time I use conditioner it's usually masked by the scent of the conditioner anyway.
Tatcha Dewy Skin is such a lovely winter treat @CookieGirl1.
@itsfi there was a time when I couldn't understand why anyone would pay the high price tag for Tatcha. I've since converted over to the dark side, lol. I can definitely see a difference in my skin when I use this vs when I don't.
@CookieGirl1 I swear I've yet to meet a TATCHA product that my skin didn't absolutely love ~knocks on all the wood in the forest~ 😂 So glad you got to replenish your YSL Illicit Green the sales on it were amazing at multiple stores this BF. I fell in love with the fragrance when I tried it on at a Sephora about a year or so ago when it was just becoming available in US stores and I've wanted a bottle ever since. I ended up passing on it this long just based off of the enormous amount of fragrances I have in my "must haves" list but I'm so glad I ended up waiting for this BF.
@CookieGirl1 I love the feeling of getting through an empty and getting to shop my own stash to open up something new!! Also, totally relate to having 4-5 shampoos open at once -- glad you've found a new fave!
@AlexBT sometimes I forget how good an "old favorite" is until I pull it out again and it's like rediscovering it all over again!
I've been using the pen liners from Kaja Wink Stamp Long Waterproof Wing Eyeliner Stamp & Pen and Kaja Wink Stamp Original Waterproof Wing Eyeliner Stamp & Pen Original Ink Black with my Lottie London stamper. I need more practice with the kaja stampers, but the reviews are right that the pen liners are excellent.
@greeneyedgirl107 I can't believe I still haven't tried the Kaja liners!! Glad to hear you've been loving them.
@AlexBT Haven't tried these either but I've heard good things!
