Sun’s out, BIC! 🌞 Although the San Francisco Bay Area inevitably experiences random bits of cold and fog throughout the year, I think it’s safe to say that it’s starting to warm up over here on the west coast. I’ve personally been looking forward to the hotter weather – do some of my favorite beauty products of the month give away that I’m manifesting an early summer?! ✨🙏

Here are the products I’ve been reaching for most in May:

@Saradestin at first I described what I wanted and the colorist have something nearly identical to my Charlotte Tilbury favorite Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Hydrating Lipstick Walk of No Shame , so I asked her to switch it up and give me something a little warmer in time for summer and in a satin. Love it!!

@eshoe Yes!! It was so much fun, definitely would want to do it again. They just made it so easy and relaxing. Watching them make the colors was therapeutic.

May 2023 Favorites

Gucci Glossy Nail Polish 713 Dorothy Turquoise is a beautiful shade for the warmer seasons and I've been enjoying this one, as an all over color or just on my tips. Will have to give it a try with some nail art at some point.

TOM FORD Soleil de Feu Eau de Parfum Fragrance is a nice blend - creamy, warm, spicy and woodsy, with a subtle burst of freshness in the opening and just the slightest bit of a white floral scent (mild, not overwhelming) that peeks out here and there.

I can't say enough good things about the EADEM Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum with Niacinamide and Vitamin C 1 oz/ 30 mL - it's really been doing wonders for evening my skin tone, reducing discoloration from sunspots, dark spots, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. My skin looks clearer, more even toned and brighter when I reach for this consistently. This is my first full size bottle but it will not be my last.

The Rhode Beauty Peptide Lip Treatment and MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil 14C Light Rosewood have been an oft-reached-for pair this month - soft, hydrated and juicy lips with a pretty and creamy rosewood color.

That Guccis shade is gorgeous! I was pretty impressed by the lasting power of the Gucci nail polish. I may have to pick this one up!

#Make Up Forever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner 14C Light Rosewood is going into my cart right now!  It looks perfect for me.

@itsfi  Beautiful choices for your monthly favs! I love the Gucci Dorthy Turquoise colour! It looked perfect on your tips and even more fun when you added the silver. I was looking up colours for May and that shade popped up!! That Eadem sounds like a miracle serum! Is it magic in a bottle? I need to add this to my list to try for sure! You can’t go wrong with anything Rhode! I didn’t think I could ever find a balm I liked better than the SF but Rhode is such a great competitor! Great monthly favs! I love your picture it is gorgeous!!

Thank you @ather ‌‌❣️ The turquoise polish is very pretty; I think I'll be reaching for it often for the next few months. Oh, I am loving the Eadem serum. I was out of town for work and didn't pack it with me; but now that I'm back, into the routine it goes. 👍 My spots, discoloration and uneven tone were showing noticeable improvement when I was using it consistently. There's been some great lip balms that have come out - Rhode, Summer Fridays, Laneige & OleHenriksen are at the top of my list for lip balms.

I mean, I’m not trying to enable @lmaster … just sharing my opinion (that no one asked for 😬) but the passionfruit jelly flavor of which @ather speaks does have a different consistency than the salted caramel lip treatment, so it might be something worth trying, for comparison sake. You know, for science. 🧫🧪🧬🔬 It would really be for science after all. 😝
