A few new items and some old faves.May was all about reducing skin inflammation.

Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner - a 9-ingredient blend of soothing and hydrating happiness. I’ve used this as a hydrating toner, bad reaction reverser, and hydrating mist later in my skincare routine. It’d be even more effective if it contained cica extract (and multiple cica components) in addition to cica water, but my skin loves it anyway.

Glossier Bubblewrap - a repeat favorite. I still don’t use this anywhere on my face except my lips, as a hydrating + antioxidant serum beneath lip balm.

Flora + Bast Age Adapting CBD Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL - this is 100% cannabis oil + full spectrum CBD. I don’t use it daily, but it’s great at calming inflammation and irritation.

JayJun Green Tea Eye Gel Patches - my favorite eye patches. I don’t use them frequently, except for this month when I wore them on several mornings. They soothe and hydrate the heck outta my undereyes, and they smell great doing it.

Aquaphor Ointment - another repeat favorite. Honestly, I could include this product every month. It’s still my lip balm of choice, plus minor wound protector, occlusive moisturizer for flaky-irritated skin, and tattoo healer. This is one of who knows how many travel size tubes I’ve got squirreled around my home. I also still keep a big jar in my bathroom.

PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer Brush - though I haven’t worn much makeup since, oh, January, I’ve fallen in love with this wee brush. It’s soft enough for my undereyes, and it’s a great shape and size for my tear troughs. It perfectly mimics my fingertip, so I can still apply concealer in a tapping motion. I love this brush so much, I bought a second one.

Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream - my longtime favorite hydrocortisone cream. I had a couple of hives outbreaks on my face and neck this month, so I often reached for this savior. It never lets me down.

The INKEY List Oat Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 5 oz/ 150 mL - I’ve used this as a standalone morning cleanser and a soothing 10-minute mask. I’m impressed! If you have dry sensitive skin or, like me, mostly-dry combo skin, and you hate washing your face in the morning, this stuff might change your mind. It’s now on my repurchase list.

Skin soothing & inflammation calming sheet masks - did I mention I had hives this month? I also had super fun stress acne. These 4 masks were my face’s May heroes:

Benton Goodbye Redness Centella Mask Pack - a very good redness reducer.
The Saem Power Centella Mask Sheet - used sparingly because it contains witch hazel, but I still love it.
LuLuLun Premium Kyoto Green Tea - a fantastic soother from one of my favorite mask brands; this resealable pouch holds 7 sheets.
Tosowoong SOS Repair CICA Clinic Centella Mask - now that I finally know exactly what’s in this mask (ingredients list is in Korean and apparently no one on the interwebs has ever translated it—except me), I feel much better about the number of these I’ve used this month.

So, I'll admit I haven't used any makeup since mid-March, unless you count DIOR - Dior Lip Glow. But, I've discovered that my sensitive skin loves CBD products, and I discovered some new favorites in that Sephora Favorites CBD set from a few months ago. I especially love Flora + Bast Age Adapting CBD Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL and HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil and would definitely buy the full size versions.

Also, PRIMA - Bath Gem 25mg CBD Bath Soak for Relaxation & Recovery is such a lovely product, but a bit pricey for regular use. So, I tried out OUAI - Chill Pills during the Rouge sale, and I'm loving those, too.

What I’ve been reaching for this month - a combo of long-time loves and some new ones!

I wasn’t so sure about the innisfree My Lip Balm Wild Hibiscus at first; I prefer a thick, goopy gloss/balm. This has a heavy enough weight to last, is somewhat matte and leaves a pretty, soft stain on my lips. The BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 PA +++ is one of my Sephora Favorites favorite😄 it goes on smoothly, barely noticeable from the get-go, and absorbs immediately. Love!!!

The Josie Maran Argan Color Stick has been a summertime (and now spring) staple for awhile. I’ve been pretty lazy with makeup lately, some color on my cheeks and Glossier’s Futuredew on the top of my cheekbones is about all the color I’ve added to my face this past month, besides my lips. The MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner - Ro(Cocoa) 48 is a longtime love as well, the shimmer is nice and it applies smoothly.

The Slip Small Slipsilk™ Scrunchies - 6 pack Black, Pink, Caramel are also just what lazy hair needs! Mine are getting a lot of use lately. Finally, Pixi’s Milky Tonic is sooooo lovely. It is soothing and gives my just-exfoliated/dermaplaned/irritated skin relief. Like a glass of cold🥛, which now makes me think I should refrigerate it for my next use.

My hair is fine, @scarletb, so this size works well for me. If you have thick hair, you might want the Slip Large Slipsilk™ Scrunchies Black, Pink, Caramel. I had a silk blouse I didn’t wear, and made a few larger scrunchies out of it for fun, and to compare. They work, but the smaller ones seem to be more scaled to my hair, if that helps:)

I didn’t think much of it either, @michelleshops. It took a few uses and more than one undecided what-balm-should-I-use-oh-this-one! to realize I really do like it! Curious if you have the Hibiscus 🌺 or another one.

This month, two of my favorites are new and one is a rediscovery. The two new ones are Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter 4 - Medium and Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush 08 Summertime Wine. I had been eying Flawless Filter for a long time and finally got it after redeeming a Rouge Reward, and wow the hype is so real! I like blending it with my foundation and applying both in a little mixture. It really does just sort of boost up the complexion. And the blush is really pretty haha. Very pigmented! I take a tiny pit and place it on my cheeks then blend out with a blush brush.

My rediscovery is JO MALONE LONDON - English Pear & Freesia Cologne. It's one of my favorites in my collection, but up until a few weeks ago everyone was still stuck at home and that's ish is expensive so I'm not just gunna wear it around the house! Now that things are opening up again, people are going out and about, and I've been courting a boy (ha!) I've been wearing it again. I heard you should wear the same scent every time you see someone new so they start to associate it with you hahahaha. Actually he's not new he's old it's a long story, but regardless this is what I've been doing.

Okay, when I sat down to list out my faves, I had none. But then I went to my monthly empties and what I'm currently using and I pulled out SO much. Maybe these are too many faves.

Hair

IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo 6.3 oz/ 288 mL this leaves my hair feeling largely non greasy without white cast but what I love about it is how it kinda helps give my hair a beachy tousled look
Bumble and bumble Prêt-à-powder Très Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo 3.1 oz/ 85 g this is the dry shampoo that leaves my hair feeling the best. I love it.
Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL this helps so much with some stress induced issues with my scalp. Love it. Hate the dropper. Don't apply with the dropper, youll use too much product.<DIV class="lia-spoiler-noscript-content">IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo this leaves my hair feeling largely non greasy without white cast but what I love about it is how it kinda helps give my hair a beachy tousled lookBUMBLE AND BUMBLE - Bb. There was this Bite Beauty Holiday 4 pack that came out last year in October. They were the Amuse Bouche Supercharged lipsticks. They're vegan. But they're not the new Amuse Bouche vegan formula which will eventually be launched. I hope that they become part of Bite's regular line up. Theyre so pretty, they apply so well and wear down nicely. 2 pictured here.
Loving the Ace Beauté Slice of Paradise palette. The mattes all blend lovely together, so even on my hooded oily lids, they come together (even when i don't necessarily intend them to blend, lol).
Picked up the ABH Jackie Aina palette when it was on sale a few months ago. I love the shimmers and chromes so much. Not surprisingly this seems to be a lot of peoples fave.

BOSCIA - Clear Complexion Cleanser this works so well with my PMD Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device Blush and leaves my skin so clean but not stripped for my double cleanse. I love my YTTP, but I wouldn't say no to this one
Algenist POWER Recharging Night Pressed Serum 2 oz/ 60 mL I just started using, but I love the way this feels. Its a solid serum, kinda like a firm balmish texture and just sinks into skin and smells so good and leaves your skin so soft. For the price, I'm going to have to keep testing and see if it does anything for lines.
DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum I kinda hate that I love this. It really does work. It smells terrible. Its annoying to spread on the face. For the price it should be perfect. But it just makes my skin so good. I just used some of the older Dr Jart rubber masks. I love the firming serum and the mask just went on so well. I'm curious about the newer packaging (easy to stack, I think; less plastic?) But the price went up to $18 can...
Another new fave I can't get anymore is this boscia mask. It is so hydrating, one of the best I've ever tried.
My favorite gentle charcoal mask is the BOSCIA - Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment. Ive been shopping my stash with other masks, and now that I've finished some, I can use this mini, and I've missed it so much. So glad its back in my rotation.

This months favs! Became obsessed with Paulas Choice again! Love the Vitamin C serum, AHA serum and eye cream. The REN cleansing balm is nice and hydrating with a rose scent. From the Spring Sales event, I LOVE this Lawless palette because it is with NO TALC. I don't do eyeshadow everyday but I have been using CASUAL for brow highlight. Juuust the right amount of shimmer to highlight the brow bone and lift it up! LAWLESS The One Talc-Free Eyeshadow Palette 18 x 0.05 oz/ 1.4 g

From an early Gratis, I have been using this when I dont wear lipstick. It is very moisturizing and gives a nice pink hue to my lips. One of the few products I don't mind flavor/aroma cuz it's watermelon. Plus it is one of the last ingredients in the formula.
