Monthly Faves: June 2025!

Hey there, BIC! I know the month is almost over (or maybe it is already over by the time you’re reading this), but HAPPY PRIDE! 🌈 We celebrated at Sephora HQ earlier this month with some visitors from Haus Labs, who let us play with some of the new blush balm shades IRL. I “accidentally” fell in love with the brand’s dual-ended blush brush, so I couldn’t resist picking one up for myself and shopping for a good cause. 😉 That isn’t the only newbie in my beauty routine this month – I also am trying out a new shampoo and conditioner duo (my hair is thirsty!), a new lightweight SPF (skin’s also thirsty), and a fun sparkly shadow stick that has been making my lazy-girl makeup routine a total cinch. 👌🏼

@itsfi I was actually going to get the one that you own (I think it's Stora Dolls), but I had to go with Kasbah Spices because it was on sale. I'm impressed with the formula too - it blends so easily, so it works nicely when I don't feel like spending much time with an eye look.

Oooh, if you catch it on sale, think about getting Stora Dolls at some point as well @PrettyPaint. It would pair nicely with Kasbah Spices. Maybe year end with all the crazy mark downs and sales take place.

@itsfi I hope so. I never quite understand why certain shades are marked for sale, unless it's potentially related to stock.

Have you tried the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Detailer Microfine Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil?? Since I discovered it, I've been using it instead of a brow pen lately because it's so precise!

@AlexBT I think I've tried Benefit's regular definer pencil (which does have a pretty small tip, as I recall), but I'm not sure that I've tried the microfine version. This sounds like a great product!! Is the tip so thin that it breaks off easily or can you still apply a decent amount of pressure without it breaking?

I haven't tried the Pen from Benefit, I really believe thier eyebrow pencils are the best of the best. 👌 I haven't had any luck with pens, lol. I struggle.  I think I've tried ABH's ones only thou. I'm interested to hear more about this, it performs well for you? 🧐

@CynthieLu I like it enough that I'll definitely repurchase it when it runs out. My brows are pretty fine, and I feel like this gives a much more natural look that I can usually achieve with a regular pencil. I think I've read that it doesn't always apply well over other makeup, but I often do my brows first before other makeup (and even skincare) because I find it lasts the longest that way. I have also read some people comment that their pens have gone dry, but I haven't experienced that, fortunately.

Thank you this is really helpful! @PrettyPaint🙏 It's a product I've been thinking about on and off but never have tried. Other pens in the past have kinda let me down. I think for this i might head in store one of these days and see if I can play with the tester on the back of my hand or something I see what it's like. 😀

@CynthieLu Yeah, I think it would be good to play with the tester in person. I've read some mixed reviews on it, so I think people might differ in their experiences with it. 🙂

@CorgiMommy My skin is technically dry but I have the tendency to get really shiny, and this makes me feel hydrated without the sticky or oily feeling. It absorbs really nicely but still feels like I moisturized.

Hands down my favorite new product for June is from a foil I received:  K18 Biomimetic Hairscience PEPTIDE PREP™ Clarifying Detox Shampoo 8.5 oz / 250 mL .  It said I would see results with one use and it delivered that promise!   It cleaned my hair and scalp without drying them out.  My hair is soft and fluffy and my scalp doesnt itch at all.  This is my new Clarifying Shampoo. 

If I hadn't gotten a foil off this product i  never would have tried it.
