Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

Monthly Faves: June 2025!Monthly Faves: June 2025!

Hey there, BIC! I know the month is almost over (or maybe it is already over by the time you’re reading this), but HAPPY PRIDE! 🌈 We celebrated at Sephora HQ earlier this month with some visitors from Haus Labs, who let us play with some of the new blush balm shades IRL. I “accidentally” fell in love with the brand’s dual-ended blush brush, so I couldn’t resist picking one up for myself and shopping for a good cause. 😉 That isn’t the only newbie in my beauty routine this month – I also am trying out a new shampoo and conditioner duo (my hair is thirsty!), a new lightweight SPF (skin’s also thirsty), and a fun sparkly shadow stick that has been making my lazy-girl makeup routine a total cinch. 👌🏼

Here are some of my June summertime faves:

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@itsfi I have this! I'm definitely busting it out per your rec 😘

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@itsfi @danielledanielle awesome idea! does this just make the tints darker in hue or does it also change the tone of the tint. I'm pretty neutral, leaning slightly warm but now that i'm a bit darker, definitely warmer. scared that it's gonna pull orange on me.

Any bronzing drops that you recommend?

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@jaaayp 🤔, it'll usually mute/dilute the bronzer drops more so than give orange to tint , since tints are usually think. BUT, if anything, find the correct mix on the back of your hand. Like maybe you only need 1 drop as opposed to multiple to even everything out.

I've used Glow Recipe Mini Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Drops Sun Glow Serum Sun Glow

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

I need to hoard the YSL setting powder on next Sephora sale to try out @jaaayp . Everyone loves this one 😘

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

it's amazing @blackkitty2014 it's so blurring but skinlike at the same time!!! (no dry/cakey)

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@AlexBT  Heh, gotta love those “accidental” love affairs, especially when makeup brushes are involved! I should check out Too Faced’s shadow sticks; it’s been a long time since I shopped the brand in general. I see an in-store swatch adventure in my near future. 🙃

World of Chris Collins Lust Oud Delice Parfum with Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut and Orris Travel Spray 0... a beautiful dark chocolate + oud gourmand. Here’s the review I’ll post on Sephora’s product page:

Spoiler
The real-deal dark chocolate opening was AMAZING! Then oud showed up and, for 1-3 minutes, battled dark chocolate for dominance. When the fighting settled, both parties signed an “equal share” peace treaty and welcomed hazelnut to join their alliance, along with orris and sandlewood. After The Great Cacao-Oud War, the overall scent grew warmer and warmer on my wrist until the drydown, which included all those scent notes I mentioned plus some unobtrusive musk. Pretty sure that last note’s responsible for the warming. This oud’s kept just shy of animalic and prevents Lust Oud Delice from smelling like straight-up Nutella. Projection and weartime are good: for me, a single spray is enough for delicious all day wear.

UNbrush mini - a “what in the witchcraft is this” product. Best brush I’ve used in the 20+ years since I quit relaxers and embraced my natural coils. Super fast and easy detangling, with very minimal (if any) hair breakage. And this is just the mini size! I will definitely buy the regular size and travel with the mini. I’ll probably also offload all my other brushes. 😅 Seriously, none of the hype around this brush prepared me for the love spell it cast on my hair.

Abib Heartleaf TECA Capsule Serum Calming Drop - my skin went through a rough dry flare this month, exacerbated by high daytime heat and frequent AC at night. I brought this houttuynia cordata + centella asiatica + turmeric (+ other good stuff) serum back into my skincare rotation to help calm things down and boost hydration. Worked like a charm.

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder - Tinted Primer & Foundation Universal (mini) I always keep either this or another Upsalite product (Linda Hallberg’s powder compact) in my bag to “powder” my very sweaty forehead as needed. This month, I’ve used Danessa’s more than Linda’s. The mini size is perfect on the go, and I can easily apply/reapply with my fingers—though I sometimes use a flat makeup puff/sponge instead.

Bobbi Brown Dual-Ended Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick Bronze Pink / Espresso - this has been my quick & easy eye look for most of June. Bronze Pink on lids and most of lower lash line; Espresso as outer corner smoke; and any color eyeliner in the inner corner for a pop of color, or just Bronze Pink instead. No eye primer needed, and I’ve often used my fingers instead of a brush to blend. This is why I always pack a few BB shadow sticks when traveling: they’re effortless, foolproof, and mostly budgeproof.

Dries van Noten Lipstick shade Bad Pink - the demi-sheer satin lipstick I’ve worn most often this month. I wish it wasn’t fragranced, but the floral smaste disappears within 15 minutes.

Swatching June’s most worn eye + lip:

Bronze Pink has a pink flip. Espresso is matte.Bronze Pink has a pink flip. Espresso is matte.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@WinglessOne No eye primer needed??!! That is the exact low-maintenance, high-impact shadow vibe I'm on this summer. I'm also curious about the new Danessa Myricks dual-ended Colorfix Stix... I got decision fatigue from all the shadow combos and couldn't decide. I think a swatch adventure is in my future as well.. 😂

Thanks for sharing your faves!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@AlexBT  Heck, for travel, I often use a Bobbi Brown matte shadow stick as primer for powder shadows. They’re that good! And I’m with you on Danessa’s new Colorfix Stix: I know I want at least one, but I need to see ‘em in person so I don’t end up buying ‘em all. 🤣

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@WinglessOne I like the "unbrush" brush as well, though I haven't tried the mini version. I may need to pick one of those up for my purse!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@WinglessOne Those are pretty! And that brush sounds nice.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@WinglessOne "Bad Pink" looks like a fun color for summer (and I low-key love the packaging).

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

Oooouuuh, I feel like I have that Caudalie sunscreen, too, @AlexBT. A fave of yours? Making a note to self - Self, go look for that sunscreen after uploading this post! Is the Caudalie a face and body sunscreen for you or do you use it for face only?

I picked up some newness in the latter part of the month but haven't had enough time to play with them (yet, that is!) for me to call them a favorite so my June faves are of the tried-and-true varietal.

Monthly Favorites: June 2025Monthly Favorites: June 2025
Kérastase Chroma Absolu High Shine Gloss Treatment for Color-Treated Hair 7.1 oz/ 210 mL  has been such a treat for my tresses - thank you, @TeamBIC  for including it in the holiday gratis. I love how efficient and effective this is - 1-2 minutes, the dosage is marked out on the bottle, and it leaves my hair with a silky shine with every use.

Vegamour GRO Scalp Detox Clarifying Treatment for Dry, Flaky, Oily Scalp 2 oz/ 60 mL has been a fabulous addition to my hair care routine. My hair hasn't taken so well to pre-shampoo hair oils but this pre-shampoo serum has been great - quick & easy to apply, clears my scalp of build-up and helps to absorb excess oils when my scalp is extra greasy.

DIOR Capture Dreamskin 1-Minute Mask 2.5 oz / 75 mL is a GOAT product 🐐. Quick, gentle & effective. Does a great job prepping skin before makeup and sees more use in my skincare routine in the warmer months when my skin, especially my T-zone can get a lot more oily.

LANEIGE Bouncy & Firm Plumping Lip Treatment 0.42 oz / 12 g was part of my in-flight skincare routine both ways. My lips seem to get super dry when I fly but that was not the case this trip and that was due, in large part, to this syrupy, gooey (but not too messy) lip product. I love that it leaves my lips soft and bouncy whenever I use it.

The same can also be said for the Dior Huile Abricot Nail Serum. This helped to keep my cuticles and the skin around them looking happy and healthy. I typically pair the serum with the Dior Creme Abricot, but took just the serum with me when I was away. Worked wonders for some in-flight pampering too!

TWEEZERMAN Micro Mini Pink Perfection Tweezer Set - tweezers are unsung heroes in the beauty maintenance routine.

Bucky 40 Blinks Sleep Mask - soft, lightweight, comfy & adjustable. The design on this mask keeps it from pressing against my eyes or lashes. Great for everyday and for travel.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@itsfi That sleep mask looks so cute. I'm not sure how you sleep, but do you think it would work for side-sleepers?

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@PrettyPaint, I sleep on my side and this works. For science 😆 I did test what it would be like to wear it sleeping on my stomach and that worked well too. To be fair, I didn’t sleep in that position, but I planted my face in my pillow and laid on my stomach for close to 10 minutes to see if it hurt or would be cumbersome, but nope, worked fine.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Oh perfect! I'm excited to hear that. Haha - thanks for doing the stomach test too. I hope your 10-minute test was at least a little relaxing! 🙂

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Ha I also love the pink theme! Those all sound like great winners!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

So much pink in that pic, @Samtian. Open my closet door and there’s one pink blouse, a backpack, a pair of shoes, and a handbag with just a smidge of pink. Open up my drawers with my beauty products? A sea of various shades of pink packaging. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😆

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

Love the pink theme that you have going on, @itsfi 😉.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

@CookieGirl1, working through my stash has made me realize just how many pink things I have. 😄

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2025 Edition!

Thatsleep mask looks fun @itsfi .  Lovely pink photo
