Monthly Favorites: July 2025 Edition!

A summery helloooo to you BIC, and I hope July has been treating you well! 🌞 My summer is off to the races weeee. 🏁 We are lucky to enjoy Summer Fridays over here at Sephora HQ, so I’ve used those to plan some long weekend trips, river days and whatever else allows me to soak up the sun—queue up the Summer BBQ playlist 🎸🎵

With that in mind, I’ve paired down my makeup routine in the warmer weather and gathered some minis of my regular skincare regimen. Thank you to everyone who commented on myMonthly Favorites: May 2025 Edition! post about sunscreen recs! MERIT launched their new Tinted Mineral Sunscreen a few days after I posted, so I snagged that and have not been disappointed. It blends beautifully, has no white cast and as a Brown girl, it’s one of the first tinted sunscreens I’ve used where I found a good shade match. 🤎 12/10 recommend for any of you looking for clean & light coverage with sun protection!

AHHH @KhyleyBT I'm reminded that i need to pick up the MERIT The Uniform™ Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45 !!! Is it long lasting?

Hi @jaaayp! I mostly use mine in place of a foundation, so I put on primer before and then concealer on top and set with powder and setting spray. So it feels pretty long lasting, but of course (like with all SPFs), we are technically supposed to reapply. But when I wear for like a pool or river day more as just a sunscreen and not in a makeup look, it reapplies well! 🤩

I've been loving the OGX Nourishing Coconut Oil as a pre-shampoo treatment.   It's been a game changer in making my hair look less distressed. 

I've also been using OGX Coconut Oil Mist on my ends, and liking the results. 

Finally, Eva NYC's Mane Magic 10 in 1 Primer has been great.   I like it as a lightweight hair oil midweek, and have used it 2 or 3 times on the top layer of wet hair as the first styling product.

@greeneyedgirl107 How exactly do you use the coconut oil as a pre-shampoo treatment? Do you apply like 10 minutes before and rinse out? My hair is a little distressed as well, so I'm curious!

@PrettyPaint I apply it overnight.  I apply enough that my hair looks stringy.  I saw a YouTuber say that she applies it 30 min before washing.  Lmk if you try it!
