Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

What’s happening, BIC? 🌞 I hope you are all staying cool during this hot summer (unless you’re like some of us in the Bay Area, still bundled up in jackets 😉)! Summer seems to always make me want to refresh my beauty routine and experiment with new products. The warmer weather (and, depending on where I am, humidity!) pushes me towards lighter formulas, vibrant colors, and all the SPF! Every year I return to this mission of uncovering summer must-haves that keep me looking and feeling fresh while withstanding the summer sun.

These are the products I’ve been loving so far this month:

I’ve been looking for a few good AHA options that are more widely available at Target and drugstores, so I can recommend them to friends and family who prefer to shop there—and so I can pop into a drugstore during trips, in case I forget to pack my usual AHA. I liked the simple INCI list of Neutrogena’s. Sounds like it’s just what your skin needed. 👍 I’m so happy to hear it’s working well for you!

@WinglessOne I've been impressed.   I like it better than The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% High-Strength Exfoliating Serum for Uneven Texture 1 oz/ 30 mL .  My old AHA was by Alpha Skin Care, and I think it just turned from being old.  I used the 14% because they discontinued the 10% gel.  Neutrogena is easier to get ahold of.  Plus, it seems to have come down in price since when it first came out.  How often does that happen?!

@greeneyedgirl107  I did think Neutrogena’s AHA was a bit pricey at first and even now. But when I break out price per ounce or mL, it’s on par with The Ordinary’s 10% lactic acid, even a bit better priced. I can’t say whether or not Neutrogena’s is “worth” its price since I’m not a product formulator, but I’d happily give it a go to find out for myself. I might do that since I’m almost done with my current PC bottle. 

Anyway, hooray for finding an effective and easy-to-get replacement product!

MERIT Signature Lip Lightweight Lipstick Baby 

This lipstick is a go to for me. Beautiful neutral tones, comfortable wear, pairs well with many looks.

MERIT Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm Bounce 

I learned a lot about highlighter this month from all the wonderful inspiration here at BIC. I love the natural glow and trying different techniques.

Tatcha Mini Hinoki Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash 1.7 oz / 50 mL 

This body wash is exfoliating. I find it to be so refreshing. To me it smells alot like pine and citrus, the aroma is just so beautiful. I love how my skin feels after using it.

So refreshing, amazing scent, does fantastic job at removing makeup and is always a joy to use

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Warm Wishes Effortless Cream Bronzer Stick Power Boost 

MERIT Bronze Balm Sheer Sculpting Bronzer Quince 

I have found an application of these two bronzers in my makeup look that really works for me, I use both bronzers for a makeup look, I find the merit to be more sculpting and the rare beauty accent other areas.

Peace Out Retinol 360° Eye Lift Patches to Lift, Firm and Revitalize Eyes 5 pairs / pack 

Reduces swelling so easy to use, I don’t even feel it when it’s on it’s so comfortable and durable and really does make a difference for me.

Thanks Merit has some awesome products! I use my fingers for the highlighter and a beauty blender for the bronzer. I might have to test it out with a brush always fun to try alternative methods ❤️ @itsfi
