Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

GeorginaBT_0-1721779455859.jpeg

What’s happening, BIC? 🌞 I hope you are all staying cool during this hot summer (unless you’re like some of us in the Bay Area, still bundled up in jackets 😉)! Summer seems to always make me want to refresh my beauty routine and experiment with new products. The warmer weather (and, depending on where I am, humidity!) pushes me towards lighter formulas, vibrant colors, and all the SPF! Every year I return to this mission of uncovering summer must-haves that keep me looking and feeling fresh while withstanding the summer sun.

These are the products I’ve been loving so far this month:

I’m so glad your loving the honey cleansing balm I’ve been meaning to try that! 🍯 @CorgiMommy

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@peculiarzmakeup it is the mask but the cleansing balm is a great product too.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Oh i see, that’s so neat that must be newer I haven’t seen that I’m so glad you love it. I might have to go grab that haha 🍯 @CorgiMommy

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

This sounds lovely, ooh and it warms up? I love the idea of that. @CorgiMommy 😍

Ahh it's hard to remember all the good things, it makes me want to start a skincare journal. Have you ever done one? 📖 🖋

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@CynthieLu no I just try stuff.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

July Favorites 🏡 at the cottage edit 🌲

(Packing small items for more luggage space and things that perform well are a must. )

Clarins Body Lotion SPF 50 for lots of SPF protection ☀️ this is easy to apply, and nice and strong for my fair skin.  It's pretty no fuss and absorbs fast. 👌 Bonus: The bottle is large. I need lots to cover everything from my legs to my face for all the extra outdoors time.

Bumble and bumble Mini Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat Protectant Leave In Conditioner Primer 2 oz/...

This is so handy for after swimming. I love mini's for at the beach. This one feels like it has the benefits of a leave in conditioner and oil in 1 step. It is what is keeping my hair managable after a lake swim. 🩵

I have really dry skin, I need a good Moisturizer especially for my hands after swimming, doing dishes etc..

Clarins Hand & Nail Nourishing Treatment Cream 3.5 oz/ 103 mL has been a life saver with the extra work my hands are doing being in a different space. After being out, or in the water this rich formula has kept me from any seasonal eczema related issues. 👍

Surprise Find 🔍🪄

Oribe Hair Alchemy Heatless Hair Styling Balm 5 oz / 150 ml has been such a gem foil find! If I want a little more done look too my beach waves or just to be less messy and more put together without my styling tools, this has been really handy and I'm so lucky I thought to bring this sample with me. I'm really happy and looking to purchase this when my foils runs out. ☺️

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@CynthieLu, that Oribe balm is a beauty; that entire line is great.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@CynthieLu  Great favs! Always need SPF!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Especially in the summer 🌞 thou I'm a fan for all year round. @ather 💝

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@CynthieLu I love a good "surprise find".  I haven't heard much about the Oribe Hair Alchemy Heatless Hair Styling Balm 5 oz / 150 ml so I appreciate the mini review 🙂

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Same! I love a sample that gives such a good first impression. I didn't bring any styling products with me, just this styling cream foil and some hair oils. It's been so handy in this environment.👌 @CookieGirl1 I want to try it with some braids and see what kind of waves I can get. 😄

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Oooh, just out of curiosity, have you seen a difference in your nails with the Clarins treatment @CynthieLu? Mine are so brittle lately - I'd love something to help strengthen them.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

I love this lotion for keeping my hands and nails from feeling dry, but when it comes to brittle nails, adding an oil to my hand care routine has been the most successful. (And using it everytime my hands get wet.) I work in a kitchen so when I have nothing available I use a little e.v olive oil. 😁

But nail oils along with my hand cream with consistent use have been the most helpful. @GeorginaBT

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@CynthieLu i love that clarins hand cream too! Soooo good!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Right? 🩷 Clarins has come so far in thier skincare game.👌 @cianni Have you tried anything else from them?

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

@CynthieLu great favorites

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Thank you kindly @CorgiMommy 💝

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

These faves are so cute, I love that you crafted them from your cottage. Clarins is a new love of mine to but I’ve never had a product just a sample the body lotion and hand care product must be so nice. It’s always nice to have amazing foils on trips! Leave in conditioner primer, that sounds neat what generally comes after hair primer? I’m always so grateful to learn these things 💕🫶 @CynthieLu

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2024 Edition!

Thank you. ☺️ I have a fair amount of trial and gwp sizes from this brand too @peculiarzmakeup  I really need to start using them. What I've tried has really impressed me so far.

This hair primer is a leave in conditioner, I think in this case "primer" is because it's also a heat protectant. So it's priming our hair for that step. I like it's ability to help fight the humidity, it's been soo humid
