Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

GeorginaBT_0-1690224151700.jpeg

Happy July, Beauty Insider Community! ๐ŸŽ‡๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ˜Ž I feel like life can sometimes slow down a bit during the summer, but with packed weekend itineraries this year, I feel like Iโ€™m constantly on the go (anyone else with me? ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ). I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ve quite achieved hot girl summer status, but Iโ€™m trying my best to stay feeling glowy, clean, pretty and HAPPY! โœจ I have good friends, nice warm weather, and awesome beauty products to thank for getting me there.

Here are just some of the products Iโ€™ve been reaching for the most this month:

What about you? ๐ŸŽค Let us know what makeup, skincare, hair, fragrance, and wellness products have stood out the most to you this July, and donโ€™t forget to use the โ€œ#โ€ symbol to tag them!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

Thanks so much for the tag @Samtian

@sprocketta, this is a lovely cleansing balm for those with sensitive skin. I havenโ€™t experienced any irritation from it, and it leaves my skin feeling cleansed but not tight  or dry. If Iโ€™m remembering right, I think you like the Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum in Cream Treatment 1.7 oz/ 50 mL? This new cleanser would pair beautifully with it. ๐Ÿ’™

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi I adore the original indigo cream and like the indigo overnight repair as well. Are you using this for regular cleansing or only to cleanse with makeup removal? I touched it in the store and wasnโ€™t knocked out by texture. I donโ€™t wear base makeup and with acne it seemed too mild and geared towards makeup and cleansing together. I donโ€™t understand how Tatcha isnโ€™t producing the Indigo Cream which is a moisturizer (not overnight repair) while adding products to the line because the overnight repair is clearly popular. I just hope they bring the original back if this does well. The Indigo line is great for redness and irritation!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@sprocketta

I use it as my first cleanse in the evening. Sometimes I will use it as a morning cleanser as well as a second evening cleanser. I use it on days when I wear a full face of makeup, which for me is a skin tint, concealer, eyeshadow and mascara and a lip product, as well as days when I'm just wearing sunblock, lip balm, and maybe concealer over a blemish.

I can only speculate as to why the Tatcha Indigo Cream is no more - maybe higher costs to source the ingredients to make it cost prohibitive to make it? Or perhaps it wasn't selling as well as it needed or as well as forecasted? Fingers crossed for you that they bring it back. ๐Ÿคž

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi - I read your review for the Tatcha balm on the product page.  I immediately added it to my Loves list.  I'll be buying it during the next sale.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@Titian06, my skin has become more sensitive recently and the Tatcha balm has been so good for it. โ™ฅ๏ธ Iโ€™m hoping a foil sample or better get, a deluxe sample / promo gwp becomes available before the next sale. I purchased it blindly and it worked out very well but itโ€™d be great for folks to be able to test it beforehand.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

K18 is a total star ๐ŸŒŸ  @itsfi, you're so right. @TeamBIC  was so very generous to gift all those wonderful hair treats! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ–ค

Ooh thou, everything you've said about Tatcha's new makeup remover has me all kinds of curious. And it's beautiful packaging is icing on the cake. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It's not available on the Canadian site yet but ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™ I'm hopefull.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@CynthieLu, keeping my fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ for you and others in Canada that the Tatcha cleansing balm makes its way up north, and that a sample or promo gwp becomes available in the US & Canada!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi oooh, thanks for your review on the Tatcha The Indigo Cleansing Balm Moisturizing Makeup Remover 1.9 oz / 54 g .  I need another cleansing balm like I need a hole in my head but I've become such a Tatcha stan over the last couple of years that this is absolutely calling my name.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

I can definitely relate to not needing another cleansing balm @CookieGirl1. This Tatcha one though is the one for me. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Most of my unopen cleansing balms are packed away at the moment but when it comes time to unpacking, Iโ€™ve decided that Iโ€™ll keep a couple and donating all the others to womenโ€™s shelters and local charitable organizations.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi that's so sweet of you to do that!  I just started on a full size of the Farmacy Peaches 'N Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.4 oz / 100 mL Peaches N Clean and then I have a mini to use after that and then maybe I'll try this one.  TBH, though, I fell so hard in love with the Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil Mini 0.8 oz/ 24 mL that it would be hard for the balm to top it!  I had previously decided that after using my two Farmacy balms that I would repurchase the Tatcha oil so this gives me something to consider.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@CookieGirl1, if I'm not going to use them anytime soon, they should go somewhere where they will be used. I'm far from a minimalist, but am trying to only keep certain things on hand to a few curated things. The Tatcha cleansing oil is beautiful; it's been a staple in my skincare routine and collection for almost a decade now.

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi Ohhhh I need to get to a store to see more shades of the Ami Colé Hydrating Lip Treatment Oil !  So pretty!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

I definitely support that plan @missjeanie. The Ami Cole lip oils feel very nourishing on the lips, but not heavy or overly goopy or gooey, if that makes sense. I now have all the lip oil shades from the brand and am hoping they release more shades, like perhaps a sheer red or a plummy brown (or brownie plum?). My favorite shade, so far at least, is Ami Colé Hydrating Lip Treatment Oil Smitten. I was going to say 'not to enable' but that's not entirely true. ๐Ÿคฃ

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi oh well now Smitten is my favourite too!  I didn't end up in any stores that carried them, but maybe I'll have to place an order.  Smitten looks like one that I'll fall head over heels for!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi they all look so shiny and juicy!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@makeitup305, these really give some of the juiciest looking lips on initial application. All without a sticky or tacky feeling. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi  Wow incredible fav for the month of July! You are right about the K18! It is amazing! My hairdresser who was an Olaplex girl started using it too and loves it!

Both of those lippies are so pretty! I really like the ami cole gloss it is so pretty! I hope they extend the line to Sephora Canada soon!!

Ok so youโ€™re definitely selling me on the new tatcha balm! I love it helped you through a flare up!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

Wowwy @ather! That is some testimonial if your hairdresser thinks so well of it, especially if she was an Olaplex gal. About a month ago, a friend, also an Olaplex fan, had a horrible experience getting highlights in her hair (I didn't think it looked orange like she described but I also completely understand that we can see our hair differently and I can relate to being attached to what my hair looks like). Anyhow, I sent her to the nearest Sephora with a suggestion to try and ask the castmembers there about K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask 0.5 oz/ 15 mL. She ended going for the K18 and said it helped her hair.

Oh, wait, Sephora Canada doesn't carry Ami Cole? Or do they only carry select items from the line?

The Tatcha balm is soooo good ather! I feel like I can be picky about cleansing balms, and this Tatcha one will be a repurchase for me. ๐Ÿ˜

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi  Wow. Thatโ€™s amazing! Iโ€™m glad it worked for her!! Hopefully no more hair disasters! K18 is a miracle product for sure! I love that I can use it on a work morning! Olaplex I need to apply the night before if I work the next day!

Sadly no Ami Cole at Sephora Canada! Fingers crossed it will come soon!! Iโ€™ve heard nothing but good things and I was able to try the clear gloss in the summer gratis! I was excited to try it but sad when I found out we canโ€™t get it this side of the border!

I am going to get the tatcha balm you officially sold me on it!!

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@ather, is the Tatcha balm available in Canada?

Re: Monthly Favorites: July 2023 Edition!

@itsfi  I didnโ€™t see it on Sephora but fingers crossed it will also pop up soon!
