Monthly Favorites: January 2020 Edition!

Whew – one month down, eleven more to go in 2020, BIC! 😄 Now that we’re near the end of January, it’s time for us to share our favorite beauty products of the month. I know many of us are following beauty-related new year’s resolutions like finally finishing up a stash of products or going on beauty low-buys, so I’m extremely curious what products made it out on top for you this month. Whether it’s skincare, hair care, makeup, or fragrance, the Beauty Insider Community would love to know your favorites.

Great picks @GG84! I finally got better at wearing sunscreen daily and I've been wearing the Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer every day. I am so happy with it! Oddly, I've noticed that when I wear it my t-zone stays matte throughout the whole day. Without it, my t-zone can get quite oily. It's been a pleasant surprise!

Not so odd!! I find DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra™ Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 is a really great primer as strange as that is!!

Great list! I also love the glitzy shimmery background you have for your products. The Dr. Dennis Gross Triple Correction Eye Serum is one of the best for anti aging and wrinkles. I use it every night. <333

Winter skincare faves comin' atcha!

An oldie but a goodie - I've been loving the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta® Extra Strength Daily Peel Pads 30 Treatments + 5 Bonus. I love that I can grab a pack and apply the treatment literally from the comfort of my bed, and not have to worry about keeping my eye on the clock to get back up and wash it off in time before it burns my face off, like some other peel products. 😉 Wow I'm lazy.

After my peel I make sure to hydrate before I actually go to bed - my go-to lately is TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream, which is nice and heavy for the dry, cold weather. I've always identified as an oily donut, but the last time I got a makeover in-store, they told me my skin was really dry, and I was -shooketh-. So trying to pack on the hydration to balance out all the exfoliating I do!

My morning skincare cocktail lately includes two pumps of DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum combined with a pump of OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Face Primer 1 oz/ 30 mL mixed together in my hand before applying. I don't know what sort of mad scientist mood I was in when I decided to do that in the first place, but I've found that it's the perfect light, brightening base in the morning before I put on the rest of my makeup (including SPF of course). 🙂

@AlexBT  haha, that's exactly how I use the DDG peel pads too, except replace bed for couch 🙂 Love them, never without them!

@AlexBT I think DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serummight have to be my next vitamin C serum.  How is the texture on that one?

@averylayne You know.. on its own, it's a little runny and sticky for my taste, which I think is what made me want to mix it with something a little smoother. OLEHENRIKSEN - Truth Serum® Mini is a good option too. 🙂

@AlexBT oh I don't like that sticky, tacky feeling either.  Good to know though, thank you!  I actually just started using OLEHENRIKSEN - Truth Serum® Mini; so far I'm liking it, but gotta use it for a little longer to see how it stacks up against the other Vit C products I've tried.
