Make sure you moisturize before you apply primer or foundation for dry skin. It really really helps

Hi Vicky, I have very rosace and sensitive, freaking-out skin that is so dry it is cracking and shedding, and the Indigo Cream isn't enough to moisturize right now. How can I augment it to calm my skin down and keep it moist, and not clog my pores? Please help!

Re: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Hi @Amakened! I recommend pairing the Essence with our Indigo Cream. It's also possible that your cleanser is contributing to this, so try our Indigo Powder when cleansing.

It may also be helpful to consult a doctor to see if you are using products that you are allergic to.

xx, V

Re: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Thank you!  I have the regular into kit, with the water cream, essence, camellia oil, and rice powder.  I didn't know there is an indigo powder!  Is there an indigo essence?  And gentler cleansing oil?

I can't get in to see the doc for five weeks and am trying to do what I can til then.  Thanks for your help.  I love the silk primer, and am excited to try the eye primer balm!

Re: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Hi @gdcosta

Thank you for this question! Smile lines mean you spent a lifetime smiling! Don't get rid of them!

What would you recommend for someone with sensitive combination skin? 🙌

Re: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Hi @Anonymous!

For sensitive, combination skin I recommend the Indigo Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder, The Essence, and the Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream. Our Indigo line contains natural Japanese Indigo and colloidal oatmeal to calm easily irritated skin. The Essence is a wonderful addition for all skin types - it floods your skin with hydration and helps it better absorb any treatments that follow. I hope this helps!

Hi Vicky!! I was just wondering if it's true that people in their 20s should start using eye cream for fine lines? And is a cream based or a water based eye product better??

Re: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Hi @sonaliik Moisturizers are beneficial for all adults. The right time to start using eye cream is really a case by case basis. As long as the formula provides the right amount of hydration for you - your eyes will thank you! xx, V

Since you came out with the silk canvas, will you be coming out with any new complexion products? Also, is there any new Special ingredients in products coming out soon?

RE: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Hi Vicky! What would be the top products you’d recommend from your brand to get a good basic routine started?

Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

I'm very interested in this silk canvas primer. I have extremely dry and mature skin which can be quite sensitive. Do you recommend this primer for my type of skin? I noticed that there's alcohol in it even though it's near the bottom of the list. would you recommend using with or without a moisturizer with extra dry skin?

What is the best skincare product(s) for people with rosacea? I don't have a severe condition.. Just on my cheeks, but it is super sensitive. It is so difficult to find products or even information about rosacea.

Re: Live Chat with Vicky Tsai, Founder of Tatcha!

Hi @lildebisue !

I developed the Indigo Triple Recovery Face Cream for sensitive skin also prone to eczema and redness. Please do a quick patch test of the product on the back of your arm to test for any sensitivities.
