#Lipstories launched on the Sephora app TODAY!! What is #Lipstories you might ask? Well, only the newest lipstick launch from Sephora Collection. There is a total of 40 shades that come in either cream, metallic, or matte finishes! Now you can switch up your lip look whether you are going to a cool music festival, a brunch date with your BFFs, or just spending time with bae. And did I mention these are only $8?!

These will be available online tomorrow Wednesday, December 13th  and in stores on Tuesday, December 26th!

@KatieBT and I swatched four shades with a holiday theme and tried out our favorite shades of the four. These lipsticks are so creamy and apply evenly! Check out our swatches and looks below 😉

 

What's great about Sephora Collection's #Lipstories is the beautiful, fun and even nostalgic packaging! 12/14 UPDATE: Today we have swatches of a summery, bright collection inspired by warm weather and days at the pool! From top to bottom you have Celebrate, Hot in Havana, Coconut Grove and Popsicle Lips. Of course, I had to try the metallic shade 😉  -@KatieBT

i am also loving these lipstories. they perform so much better than many higher end lipsticks i have. i wore all washed up today and it is beautiful (and this comes from a person with several dozen red lipsticks...) swatches below are all washed up, take a bite, first class, hong kong by night and celebrate.

Sad that this thread has been forgotten! 😞 was hoping to see more swatches. 

I wore Matinee today and it’s amazing. Beautiful colour, rich and plush formula, long lasting colour. The only complaint that if not blotted it will feather ever so slightly because it’s so creamy.

I too thought there would be more swatches.  I haven't bought any colors yet.  Once I'm ready to make my first purchase of the year, I'm sure at least one will find its way into my cart  😄

Thanks for the feathering warning it's a lovely shade on you. I suprised that a lighter color like this feathers at all.

It’s super minor @moxiepancakes...I have two lines that are deeper than the others on the peaks of my Cupid’s Bow and I saw it there. Two tiny lines of feather, out by not even 1 mm. It’s only noticeable if I check myself in the mirror up close and not at all noticeable if I looked at myself in the mirror from a regular distance.

Here is today’s look featuring Pineapple Express. The pigmentation is smooth and opaque with one swipe. IMO the cream formula of this line is comparable to NARS Audacious. No joke.

 And here’s a hand swatch with Festival Lights on the left. 

Festival Lights (left), Pineapple ExpressI was able to swatch a bunch of colors in store yesterday (though it seems the store did not receive all the colours yet, 2/3 of the dispensers were empty and I couldn’t buy the remaining colours I wanted)

My take on some of the colours:

Labyrinth City is a GORGEOUS deep matte plum red. Definitely need. 

Take a Spin is a pinky tan base sparkle. 

Tan Lines is a cream version of Brunch Date. Probably don’t need both. 

No Cell Service is a much more yellow version of Festival Lights. It’s a bright gold colour. Not going to be flattering for many IMO. 

Comparing the bright pinks - Celebrate, Twolips and Pineapple Express: Twolips is a bright cool toned matte pink fuchsia whereas Ccelebrate is a bright cool toned matte purple fuchsia. Pineapple Express is a cream version of the two colours mixed together and my fav of the 3. 

Yum Yum is a true chocolate brown. It looked nice on others but not a lipstick I’d choose for myself. I prefer my browns to either have red or orange mixed in to be more wearable.

@moxiepancakes I think the Audacious might be a little less drying...these are just ever so slightly drying, but it's also -30C here today and my lips have been drier with the super cold weather so that could be it too!

The creams have full pigment in one swipe...the only other formula that does this for me is the Audacious 🙂

Wow, I will enjoy my toasty 22F over here and even that has made my lips a little parched.   Do they have any fragrance, some of the flavors and fragrances added to lip products bother me? @k617

They seem to have a very very slight fruity fragrance, but it’s quite faint and not like super fragranced lipsticks such as YSL @moxiepancakes

Here are lip swatches of (top to bottom) Brunch Date, Matinee and Golden Gate. Brunch Date is perhaps a little more peachy and a bit lighter than I’m comfortable with, but is a good colour to pair with a bold eye look.
