We are so excited to introduce you to a brand new feature launching today on Sephora.com, Live Community Chat! This new feature allows you to ask and answer questions with other Sephora shoppers directly on product pages. So if you’re searching for a new moisturizer, have a specific question about that Sephora Collection lippie you’re about to purchase, or looking for the perfect gift for your mom, you can ask another Sephora shopper your question and get advice from someone immediately.
Who are those “someones” answering the questions, you ask? Well they’re you! Real people browsing and shopping the site and hanging out in the Beauty Insider Community.
Because we know that our Community members give the best advice and have awesome experience with so many of our products, we are inviting you all to be the very FIRST to jump into Community Chat, answer (and ask!) questions, and try it out. This is your chance to share your knowledge expertise with people shopping on Sephora.com, so that they can get real opinions from real people, in real time!
To launch chat, just visit your favorite product page and click on the “Chat live with Sephora shoppers” icon at the bottom of the page. The feature is available on desktop and mobile web right now, and will be launching on the Sephora app in the next few days.

Also we’ll be hanging out in this thread with our feature expert this afternoon, so as you’re trying it out and coming up with questions and feedback, post them here! We’ll try to answer everything we can.

UPDATE 2/19/21: As of August 2020, Live Community Chat has been retired to make room for a new and exciting way to swap info about your favorite products: Questions & Answers! If you have questions - or knowledge to share with the Community - about a certain product, visit the product page on Sephora.com and click "Ask a Question" under the Questions & Answers module. I just tried it and it's overall a great concept. The only complaint I have so far is the same people asking the same questions every 30 seconds. Like they don't even bother to read people's responses to their questions, they just keep reposting. I'll give it a shot another time if a post restriction is ever implemented...
Once the maximum 2 responses have been met, does the question disappear from the live chat feature?
Also - It would be nice if unanswered questions would stay at the top of the list for better visability.
Seems pretty intuitive and easy to use so far! 🙂
What does being a "coach" mean? Is there a way we can unsubscribe from emails every time someone "thanks" us?

It's kind of fun! I feel like a real customer service rep! I can't tell if people have seen my responses though.

I didn't think that I would actually like this, but I kind do. It gives me a little something extra to do that doesn't take long to do. 🙂
I can't wait to try this out! What a great way to ask and talk to follow Makeup enthusiasts in a none intimidating space. I know I have learned a lot on here and can't wait to share what I know with others.
Is there a way to block or flag inappropriate questions?!? 😞

Has anyone else noticed that every question about reviews not working has been deleted?
So - are the reviews no longer available?? I haven't opened the chat yet. I just can't get to reviews
@Madeline7 - Are they deleted, or just answered and removed? I'm seeing most questions after they receive two replies are removed...
@Milou07 same person/account was on a role...I got a screenshot of some other colorful questions they asked. I believe they have since been removed.

How do you view the replies to other people's questions?
If you register with the TokyWoky community (I got sent an email after I wrote some responses), you can see responses there - not sure if there is any other way?
