I’m Georgina, Sephora’s new intern for the best group of beauty lovers – the Beauty Insider Community! In addition to my superhero team members @KatieBT, @BrendaBT, @LexBT, and @CarolBT, you’ll be seeing a lot of me, so I thought I’d give myself a formal introduction.

Crazy enough, I first joined the BIC when I was 13 years old. I was so excited to receive a fragrance from Sephora for my birthday that year, and I immediately signed up to post a review. After almost a decade of lurking on this community, here I am! I’m excited to get to know you all personally and discuss all things beauty...

So let’s jump right into it! I’ll start: As a college student, there’s nothing I enjoy more than hitting “snooze” on my alarm before my 8am classes. Nevertheless, I’ve gotten into the habit of setting aside time for a morning beauty routine – even if it’s just 5 minutes. I find that this helps me feel prepared to take on whatever I have planned for the day! When I’m in a rush, I reach for a few specific products:

But if I was then I would probably put on....

LOL that's totally fair, @IttyxBittyxMe! I appreciate your recommendations nonetheless. I should look into the bareMinerals concealer - I'm assuming it wears well with the powder foundation I use. 

Also, I have a confession to make: I am probably the last person to jump on the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb train. I bought the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA - Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Face Set a few weeks ago and am so tempted to buy the full sizes of both products. You have amazing taste! So glad to meet you and hope to continue seeing you around. 🙂

My basic everyday routine is brows and lipstick, often with blush, and sometimes with concealer. Here are the products I use most often:

My eyeballs are irritable jerks, so I can’t wear mascara daily—and most mascaras hurt my eyes within 2 hours of wear. The one I wear most often is Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume 2 Mascara Black Vinyl Vol 2 Yesterday I tried WANDER BEAUTY - Mile High Club Mascara and was impressed enough to put it in rotation.

Hey, I see that NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer! 🙂 If I have a little more time, I use mine to brighten up my undereyes and conceal some of my lighter blemishes. And I feel you on the constant eye irritation! I always opt for waterproof mascara, but when my allergies are particularly bad I avoid eye makeup altogether.

I completely understand taking time to work on your brows - if I'm not careful, poorly drawn brows can totally ruin a simple makeup look. Also, *gasp*, I bought the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask a few weeks ago and L O V E it! I cannot get over waking up with such soft lips, ready for lipstick application. Have you tried the brand's other products?

So sorry about your allergies - this year is particularly bad for me too. I sometimes find myself skipping eye makeup because I know I'll rub it all off due to itchiness anyway. On those days, my makeup routine is pretty similar to yours! Love that you included the Benefit Brow Pencil; brows are a must for me. Thank you for the recommendation! 🙂

Hi @GeorginaBT , WELCOME TO BIC!  And congrats on what sounds like a fun internship position!  Wow, you've been lurking here for 10 years??  That's amazing!  I didn't get into makeup until well into adulthood so I can't imagine what that would have been like as a teenager!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, @drrragon. 🙂 I definitely got into makeup at a young age thanks to online beauty communities like the BIC. I'm thankful the early exposure helped me determine my interest in the industry, eventually leading me to awesome professional opportunities like this one! 

Thank you for the recommendations! Oooh, I have a question for you: how do you like to apply the MUFE Foundation? I'm in a phase of trying out different foundation formulas and application techniques, and would love to try a foundation stick next.

@GeorginaBT  For stick foundations, I apply directly to my face over primer, then buff and blend with SEPHORA COLLECTION - Classic Multitasker Brush

(or similar, I probably have 10 variations of this type of brush by now!), then set with powder using a big fluffy brush.  

For a stick foundation it's really lightweight while at the same time playing nicely with my dry skin. It also happens to be a great shade match for me (thank you MUFE!) and is really convenient for travel.  Come to think of it, it's probably time to restock! 😄

As far as a 5 minute makeup routine, hmmmm.... I'm not sure I could pull that off, LOL. But for the absolute basics, I'd use my trusty Elizavecca Milky Piggy BB followed by bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Talc-Free Loose Setting Powder Illuminating Mineral Veil

Then I'd have to do something for my eyes so most likely a quick swipe of URBAN DECAY - Eyeshadow - Sin

Then URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil LANCôME - CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara Standard Size Black - 0.33 oz/ 10 mL

Finishing off with a touch of FRESH - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15

Thank you, @quspork! So nice to meet you. And I totally get it - while I've mastered the art of a rushed routine, I also love taking my time. I can seriously spend over an hour doing a simple makeup look. 

As a lover of lip products (balms, lipsticks, glosses, I love it alllllllll!), I really have to give the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen a try. Especially love that there's SPF in it! Thanks for the recommendation.
