small bumps on cheeks ??

so as you can see from the photo I get small bumps all over my cheeks and chin and I have no idea what they are. I know I’m wearing makeup but that’s really the only time I notice they’re there. I don’t notice them at all when I have a bare face. They aren’t red or painful and I exfoliate 3-4 times a week. I’ve also been using the drunk elephant t.l.c framboos glycolic night serum and I haven’t noticed a change in these bumps. I don’t think they are milia either. Help?!?

Re: small bumps on cheeks ??

Hi @kayluh I have experienced something similar on and off. Once I started using Lactic Acid & Vitamin C though it made a HUGE difference. I personally love Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One AHA Lactic Acid Treatment 1.7 oz / 50 ml and DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum

While for now, this has mostly cleared up, I have noticed that when I do not drink enough water or am stressed, it makes a bit of a come back....

Hope you find something that works for you!

Re: small bumps on cheeks ??

Hey girl do you wash your makeup brushes regularly sometimes our makeup tools can build up bacteria and cause breakouts. Also the foundation that you are using may possibily result in an allergic reaction sometimes it happens maybe you can switch your foundation for a few days and see. Good job for exfoliating just remember that when we exfoliate we are stripping away everything leaving an extremely dry surface so hydrating and replenishing the skin with products that target our skins needs help it remain balanced which keeps breakouts at bay. I would cut back on the 3x exfoliating down to once/wk, change the foundation or maybe change your moisturizer/ primer and wash all your makeup tools just to be safe.

Re: small bumps on cheeks ??

Thank you for your feedback I really appreciate it ! I have switched up my foundation a lot since this has happened. I honestly don’t wash my makeup brushes as often as I probably should so I will definitely become better at doing so lol! I also use two moisturizers after I exfoliate because I love me some hydrated, plump skin!!

Re: small bumps on cheeks ??

I used to have this exact issue and I tried a ton of drugstore + highend products for about a year and nothing worked until I started using the ole henrickson invigorating night transformation gel. I honestly can't recommend it strongly enough, I'd been so frustrated for the longest time because nothing I did really worked until using this gel. This erased 70% of the bumps on my cheeks and jawline in 2 days. Try it out, it's a great product.

Re: small bumps on cheeks ??

Ugh I’m so happy you recommended this product ! I have been wanting to try it but have opted to try the drunk elephant tlc framboos glycolic night serum first because everyone raves about it ! But I will definitely try the ole henriksen one! Thank you so much 🙂

#Kayluh what do you use to exfoliate?

@kayluh what do you use to exfoliate?

Re: #Kayluh what do you use to exfoliate?

I currently use the body shop vitamin c microdermabrasion. This issue has been a concern for over a year and I have changed up all my skin products within that time :S

RE: small bumps on cheeks ??

When I had a lot of these the dermatologist determined them to be milia and had her assistant pop/lance them in her office. It’s possible they aren’t but my skin looked a lot like that and it’s what I had. The dermatologist was all that helped. Good luck!
