What's the best moisturizer to mix with a foundation?

Sometimes I feel like my Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Foundation is a little too full coverage... I'd like to sheer it out a bit with a moisturizer (which was a recommendation by a Sephora worker) but I don't know which to mix it with. Suggestions?

I really love Tarte's maracuja oil with NARS luminous weightless foundation, it also works well with MAC's Prolongwear nourishing waterproof foundation. However I did just purchase Farasali's elixir to use with my foundation, I hear so many great things about it.

I don't mix mine with moisturizer but if you want a more glowy/dewy look when using full coverage foundation I mix mine with MAC strobe cream. I use the strobe cream in goldlite. It will sheer down the foundation and make your skin look amazing and have an all over glow!
