@QueenMarceline, the brand has an intense hydration version of the mask as well as this weightless version - they have some good sample sets too. While I like the sound of intense hydration, the lighter consistency of this weightless hydration version works better for my hair type. My hair naturally falls flat on its own, I don't need the extra help. 🤣 Hair care is a goal of mine for this year so I'm hoping to get more use of the hair care products already in my stash. Do you have a hair mask you like a lot?

@itsfi That looks lovely, I'm drawn to the packaging a lot. Can you describe the scent? I really want to try the more intense hydration and the lightweight. My hair needs extra exxtraaaaa hydration in the winter time especially. I have fine-ish naturally curly hair that can lean very frizzy (especially with dryness and humidity). I swear I use multiple conditioners at the same time and mask 2-3x a week or my hair gets mad at me. It takes a village (of products) to tame my mane and even sometimes that doesn't do it. The joys of living in humid summer and frigid winter weather areas LOL. 

Some masks I really like are the amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask the smell is divine and my hair really likes this stuff. There's also a super cheap hair mask I like from drugstore and ULTA it's the SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque and it's sold out quite a bit in my meijer and my local ulta a lot because of how good it is. I truly think it's one of those underrated products that weirdly a lot of people purchase but not many people talk about (myself included), but it's one of the stars of my routine. I have a sample of the amika The Kure Intense Repair Hair Mask for Damaged Hair 8.5 oz/ 250 mL and I'm excited to give that a go. I really enjoy some of their products. I recently tried the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day® Night Cap Overnight Perfector 4 oz/ 118 mL sample and I reviewed it on here on the thread, the jury is still out though. I have another sample of it and am looking forward to re-trying it.

@QueenMarceline, using a hair mask regulalry at least twice per week is my goal for this year; heck, if I could do it once per week consistently, I would be happy. There are usually a good couple of weeks of that followed by months of inconsistency, but it's a work in progress; hence why I have an amika hair mask in my project pan for this year. 

So I would describe the scent on the Moroccanoil line as being a mix of warm, rich, slightly musky, with an overall sweet, floral scent. The packaging is very pretty! Have you tried any of the Briogeo hair masks? You might like the Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Hair Mask or the Briogeo Superfoods™ Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Hair Mask 8.0 oz/ 240 mL? Their original honey mask was my favorite from the brand Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!™ Honey Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask 8 oz/ 236 mL, but I don't think they don't make that version anymore (even though I can tag it? Weird); there's a vegan formulation that's now available - Briogeo Vegan Apple Honey Deep Conditioning Hair Mask for Dry + Damaged Hair 8 oz/ 236 mL.

@itsfi I actually think I have a couple of the Briogeo samples on hand, I will definitely give them a go soon since you recommend them 🙂 I totally think you can complete that goal and your hair with totally thank you for it, I promise. I notice a huge difference when I skip a week of my masking routine ever since I got into it semi-consistently.

@QueenMarceline, if you have a sample of the Briogeo, it’s a great way to try it. There’s oftentimes a foil sample available as one of the up to 2 samples you can select at checkout and sometimes the Rewards Bazaar will have deluxe sized samples of the hair masks from Briogeo.

A is for Ampoule and D is for Double Dare

I guess I’m here for the fun packaging this week haha. 

the Mediheal Ampoule mask is a super thin well drenched mask that had a slightly large fit. It had a light masky scent. The mask claims to solve skin thirst. I would give this like a b+. It was pleasant enough to wear and my skin felt decently hydrated after. No tack.  I wouldn’t say my skin isn’t still thirsty haha. My skin has been very dry. 

i also used the red omg snail mask. The actual mask itself was bright red which was cool and had a slightly large fit. Scent was not memorable.

 It has a lot of claims: Snail Secretion Filtrate delivers antioxidant properties, as well as the ability to stimulate collagen production, enhance skin healing, and is rich in natural hyaluronic acid to instantly revitalize your skin. 

i mean I really don’t think you can get that all from one use but my skin did look brightened and felt hydrated. There was some tack for about half an hour

@Kim888  Awe, I love the packaging for all the Line Friends masks - super cute! Sounds decent! I know what you mean about dry skin - mine has definitely been more thirsty than normal lately. 😬

Sounds like a good masking duo, @Kim888. I used that Double Dare mask a couple months ago and was pleasantly surprised by it. Like you, I did get some brightening from it and would happily use it again. (But wow, it really is bright red!)

@Kim888, this winter seems especially cold; 🥶 I feel like the Mediheal NMF is good for some hydration throughout the year but that something extra is needed during the winter months. Have you tried the Mediheal DNA Hydrating Protein mask? 

Ahhh, the red snail mask! I remember someone using it here a while back (maybe @@heartsmyface?) and I picked it up and now I can’t remember if I ever used it (which means, where did it go then?! 😆) Bright and hydrated skin is a plus!

I haven’t tried the protein version @itsfi ! And it definitely seems to have become suddenly very cold here! December was kind of mild but now, winter weather for sure!

@Kim888, it definitely feels colder than previous winters, but then again, I sometimes feel like I say that every year. 😆 I know my skin feels it - it is soaking up the serum from sheet masks so much more quickly than it used to. I'm sure you have plenty of sheet masks but if you get a chance, you might want to try the Mediheal protein line - there's a Korean version and a US verion, both have a cream/milkly serum and provide the same results. I think the packaging may be the difference between the them and the naming - the US version says "protein" the Korean version, "proatin". The Korean version is out of stock on the Mediheal site, but if you have an AB store near you, you might be able to pick that one (or another varietal from the line - brightening, firming, soothing); the US version has a few distribution streams.

Well.... I went through my stash and found... about 535 sheet masks.  Give or take.  I've made a goal to use at least 365 this year.  There are days where I can totally do an AM and PM mask so I should be able to offset some days with no masks.  I believe I used just over 200 last year where I reallllly dropped off in my use the second half of the year.  I'm going to say about 1/3 of the masks are what I call total filler masks, the 10 packs from TJ's etc etc... I want to try and run through a lot of those first since I know what to expect and will then have more 'fun' masks to finish off the year/move into next year.  I should be going through them to filter out the older ones first... but I just don't have it in me and honestly... I'm not bothered by a few months expired.  Do they really expire if they're all sealed anyway?

Filler mask galore from the weekend. I'm still on my roll doing at least a mask a day. I'd like to concentrate on using these types of masks up, I don't find I get miraculous results from any of them, so they can be first to go. The 10-0-6 mask smells super nice but doesn't do much more than a good moisturizer. The Masqueology is fine, but harder to mix in the bag as instructed just due to the shape of the packet. I have a few different modelling masks and they can be fun, this one has a bit of a cooling affect, like a few others I've tried so not the best for this time of year when I'm already cold lol. There was quite a bit of material here so much so that I thought it could have done two faces. With work from home and my meetings being scheduled mostly for later in the mornings I'm hoping that I can cram in a few double masking days to help out with dry winter skin blues.

@missjeanie I mean, I have smelled some masks that definitely called out expired to me, like a strong vinegar scent, when you know it should smell like fruit lol

Thats a good point @lmaster !  The sniff test is the best bet on older ones.
