Well, wow @itsfi. This is proof positive that reading the instructions is worth one’s time. What cool results, and bravo for hydrating a dry patch on your cheek; I bet your blush was happy!

Some shimmery, shiny things for Sparkle Week:

This Leader’s Labotica Transforming Liquid Foil Mask has been in and out of my destash pile since my first use. Thanks to a brilliant skin-saving tip from @heartsmyface, I now know to dermaplane prior to using a peel-off mask like this one. I prefer modeling masks for their gentle removal and cool, soothing characteristics, but this posed no pain for me. I used it on my T-zone, while patting Suqqu’s Moisture Mask onto my cheeks.

The Leader’s has a pretty pearlescent shimmer, and dries after around 15-20 minutes depending on how thick of a layer I use. I have learned that more is better when it comes to this type of mask; it is much easier to remove in one piece this way. And no matter how carefully I apply it, this always happens to me:

After having some fun peeling everything off, I reached for the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask. I have had good experiences with the Garnier hair masks, so why not give this one a try? This turned out to be a great decision.

This is a vegan mask that is bio-degradable/compostable and claims to hold nearly a full bottle of serum (which I find that most masks do at around 1 oz each). The scent on this one…unique. To me, it was pine mixed with milk. A peculiar blend, but thankfully, it wasn’t overpowering. As I removed the sheet, I did a little skip inside my heart for joy. The material was exactly like the soft Heimish pH 5.5 mask I love. And so much serum! Instructions state to use it for 15 minutes, but I left it on close to 45, as the fit and adherence were thoroughly enjoyable. After removing, my skin felt cool to the touch, with zero tack. It also appeared plumped, bonus!

There are a few others in this line, which I am very excited to try based on my experience with this one.

@eshoe, I either forgot or just completely missed that Garnier has sheet masks. The results sound great.

I know you and @Shosh85 both have enjoyed their hair masks, @itsfi. Which of course gave me the nudge to try one as well (the Papaya, I think? It was great). I guess my expectations are mixed when it comes to drugstore brands so when they far exceed them, it feels like a major win 🙂

@eshoe  I tried a Garnier sheet mask a long time ago, but I wasn't saving my notes back then and don't remember much about it except that I liked it 😉 Might just have to pick up another one soon! Glad this was a winner for you!

@Shosh85 I’m curious how you track you masking experiences now. It’s taken me a few tries and different methods, but keeping a skincare journal has been a big help.

That's an unexpected scent on that sheet mask. I would have at least thought it would have a fruity fragrance.

A fruity scent would have made this one extra-special, @missy94612. I was so side-tracked with how soft and comfy it was, that I forgot to wish for something more pomegranate than clean 😄
