Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Last night's mask was SO GOOD!

I almost hate giving this such a great review because i'm pretty sure it was a holiday exclusive, but guys, this one was SO GOOD. The mask size was perfect; long enough to go underneath my chin (which is what i prefer) and there were eye flaps. There was a scent - a mixture of mint and that typical fresh sheet mask scent that smells like nothing but something at the same time. The best part is it was so cooling on the face. As soon as i put it on it felt like a big exhale - very relaxing. When i woke up this morning, my face felt bouncy and looked bright. I'm interested in trying out the "Naughty" version of this mask to see if it's as good 🙂

Love the summer Xmas mask choice @scott1201.  I had a creme peppermint sheet mask with a reindeer on it that I sense is the same as yours here.  It was amazing!  Probably the best sheet mask serum I've come across!

Thanks for the review @scott1201!  I'm hoping The Creme Shop brings these sets back for the holidays.  I think they would make great gifts / stocking stuffers - for me and from me.  Based on your glowing review of the mask, I plan on gifting these to myself as well as to others.  🙂

Can I get some feedback comparing two masks please? ☺️ 

Backstory: My skin is typically dry and loves hydration. It’s only the past couple months that my skin has behaved, before that I battled acne for over 10 years, so I’m always weary of introducing new skincare products into my routine in fear of triggering another series of breakouts.

That being said, I’m looking for a new night cream to try and both the Origins Drink Up Mask and the GG Thirstymud Mask have caught my eye. Which did you prefer? 😄

I've only used the origins of the two you mention, and it's a bit thick.  It may not let your skin breathe as much as you need it to.  I'm not super acne prone, but even I would apply and wipe the excess so I didn't get clogged pores.  

Not to complicate things, but have you tried a water based overnight mask, like Leneige @bakeamuffin?

@bakeamuffin, I've used both the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask and the GlamGlow ThirstyMud as moisturizers/overnight mask.  While both masks will hydrate your skin, I'd go for the GG ThirstyMud over the Origins one.  I have purchased a FS of it because I like it so much - it works for my skin year round (dehydrated combo) but it's especially great in the winter, when my skin leans more dehydrated dry.

I do agree that if it's not too inconvenient to you, you might want to see about getting samples of both, to see how they work on your skin.

@bakeamuffin, have you tried getting a sample from Origins or Sephora for the Origins mask, or both of them, if you haven’t tried the GG, yet? I am a huge fan of GG, but Origins really blew my mind! I think Sephora was giving samples a couple months ago as a $35 spend gift online. I wanna say that’s where I got my sample from...Maybe, just maybe, they have some hidden away somewhere for a BIC in need!!!

@bakeamuffin I’ve never tried the Origins one so I’m not much help– but I do LOVE ThirstyMud! When  my skin is at its driest, this feels the best and gives instant relief. 👍😊

@bakeamuffin I would suggest the GG Thirstymud . It’s a lifesaver for dry skin and smells sooo yummy. This will be so beneficial during Alberta’s cold and dry winters or anytime your skin is dry, even in summer! You can use it as a mask and remove or wipe away the excess or you can leave it on overnight either way your skin will thank you for using it! It has saved my dry winter skin many times! I carry a tube of it every time in my makeup bag and I keep a jar at home. LOVE IT 💙💙💙 and will always buy and use it until the end of time!

Great question! I have used both masks in the past - also a dry skin girl here. 

My vote would go to the GlamGlow Thirstymud. I know it's more expensive but, IMO, it gives better hydration and does not irritate the skin. The texture is more gel-like, which my skin seems to prefer (all my favorite moisturizers are gel based).

I typically love Origins products, but the Drink Up mask had a fragrance that irritated my skin. The GG also has a fragrance (delicious coconut / beachy smell) but didn't irritate.
