March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
That's disappointing!! @missy94612
Hahaha @missy94612, I think you're right and it got lost in translation. Dewy, glowy, or brighter is probably what they meant to say. This is the first I've heard of this brand. It makes me curious too - I see a lot of Korean skincare mention ingredients coming from Jeju Island as there's a lot of cache with ingredients being sourced there. I've not heard of May Island before - wonder if it just happens to be the name of the brand, or if there's a May Island in Korea. I'm putting that on my list of things to research.
I found this the other day when I was cleaning the house. I think it's an older mask because I don't see it online anymore. I don't see an expiration date but it passed the smell test and at a glance test - no mold spots, tons of serum, and no foul smell coming from it - no smell at all and that was a bummer cuz I was excited for a pumpkin scent. This was okay. Since my skin is oily, I don't like my sheet masks too soaked. I rung out some of the serum first and that was good. My skin felt hydrated and I didn't have any breakouts from it the next day.
@nuinui933 too bad there's not a good scent to this one
@nuinui933 Interesting I never thought to look for mild spots before! Great tip!
@nuinui933 *sigh* how disappointing that it didn't smell like pumpkin.
Too bad it didn't smell like pumpkin spice latte or pumpkin pie. That would be good.
@nuinui933 Well hydrated skin is very good!
@nuinui933, I too wanted this one to have a pumpkin smell when I used it. At that time I picked up a cinnamon-like scent but no pumpkin. ๐
P is for Papa
โ
@Kim888 I definitely need to get more papa recipe masks, this one looks awesome, I bet it was the heat drying your skin
@Kim888 Iโve used the yellow and the black and I love them both!!
@Kim888, I tried and liked this version in the blue packet and the purple packet one too, when they first came out and liked both, and like you, found the blue one nourishing. You need to add another layer of moisturizer on top of the sheet mask and moisturizer you put on? ๐ณ Hopefully you have more last effects with this one on your next use.
Sorry about the heat from the radiator making your skin dry. This season!! I do love it but it requires more attention and maintenance in the first few weeks of the season shift.
@itsfi ok I found the reviews!! Thank you for the info!
I didn't even know Innisfree made clay masks other than the one in the brown jar that's popular. I'm interested in that brightening one.
@missy94612, they have a few different ones - in addition to the ones pictured, there's also a green mask, a purple one and a pink mask in the clay series. I just posted about the yellow one - so far, so good. I feel like my complexion looks more awake but I think I need to use it more regularly to see about its brightening claims.
The yellow brightening innisfree mask looks good. I like the innisfree Pore Clearing Matte Moisturizer with Volcanic Clusters 1.7 oz/ 50 mL mask and the cleanser for my breakouts but brightening sounds like it would be good.
@nuinui933, I'm intrigued by the brightening one as well. Will let you know how it goes. I meant to use it this week but needed to sub in some heavier moisturizing and nourishing masks from some tlc for my skin.
