Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights ๐ฎ
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
I agree, @quspork - and that is why I felt it should perform better/be more of a โwowโ experience. Maybe for someone who has more specific skin issues, using it regularly might produce greater results. But for the price, I am happy to slather on my scrubs!
@eshoe love the test tubes!!!
I am a little surprised there arenโt more masks like this, @lmaster! I suppose the packaging is more expensive than just a foil packet.
Yeah that more than likely the reason @eshoe but I still love em
V is for Vita.... gifted to me by the wonderful @eshoe!
Faith in Face Vita Jelly Sheet Mask
Material:
Thin meshy cotton
Serum:
Thick-ish jelly with a lot extra leftover
Scent:
It really didn't smell like much. If I focused real hard and sniffed straight into the package I think I could smell something lemony - maybe just very slightly leaning toward cleaner - but I couldn't really smell anything while the mask on.
Fit:
Just a little too long at the chin. Good adherence and comfortable to wear.
Wear Time:
Half hour
Tack:
Light tack that lasted about 45 minutes
Results:
Brighter, moisturized, soft & smooth skin with a nice glow.
Repurchase?
I think would repurchase this one, especially because I think it'd make a good morning/primer mask and I want to test out that theory ๐
Oooh! This one sounds like it checks off a lot of boxes @Shosh85. I support you testing out the primer theory. Do it, Shosh!! Buy another one. For science. ๐
@itsfi Yup, I loved that jelly serum and the results were soo good! Definitely wouldn't mind repurchasing..... especially for science ๐
The results definitely sound nice for this one, @Shosh85!
@quspork The results were really great and so was that jelly serum - no complaints here! ๐
@Shosh85 sounds great!! Nice to have a primer mask line up too ๐
@lmaster Definitely! I should really start making a list! ๐
This line has so much serum packed in to that pouch @Shosh85! You are certainly a very patient masker to wait that long for the tack to wear off โบ๏ธ
@eshoe Love it when masks are loaded with serum! Tack has never bothered me, in fact I kinda like it - it makes a good primer for makeup and helps other skincare products 'stick' better! Thanks again! ๐
Awww you are so welcome, @Shosh85 ๐ค
Hey maskers! Here are some Memorial Day sales on masks that y'all may be interested in. ๐
Masksheets:
This ๐ had me cracking up, but so perfect! Yes, try one sheet mask before picking up a box! Have they been listening to our conversations?! โฌ๏ธ Trying not to tag folks who are working through their stash or are on a mask no-buy. @Shosh85 @lmaster @PrettyPaint @Kim888 @emaisgr8 @quspork @emaisgr8 @SAlyFitz @Samtian If I'm missing someone or if folks who are on a no-buy would like to be tagged in the future, let me know.
Are there any sheet masks you would thinks are worth picking up at one of these sales? There's just so many to choose from; I don't know where to begin.
@missy94612, masksheets has a pretty good selection and its set up is a little easier to navigate than yesstyle. I tend to really like the following brands for sheet masks: Mediheal, Leaders, Papa Recipe, Etude House. The new Innisfree ones are nice too.
For ingredients, I go for honey / royal jelly / propolis, aloe, snail, hyaluronic acid (may be listed as sodium hyaluronate), green tea, catctus for hydration. Ceramides, olive oil, honey, milk, or milky creamy serums for nourishment. Centella asiatica (cica), chamomile, aloe and calendula, allantoin for soothing. Pearl, niacinamide, licorice root for brightening.
A lot of it is trial and error to see what your skin likes and doesn't like, either as a single ingredient or in combination with things. I've found it also helps to identify a few of the maskers here who have a similar skin type to yours to see what masks they rate highly.
I generally like to pick out my sheet masks but there can be so many to choose from, as you said. Signing up for a subscription box can be helpful to get a variety of masks to try until you get to a place where you have a better idea of what works for your skin or what types of material or ingredients you like. I did Facetory for a time and many others here have as well, including @eshoe. If I were to do it again, I would just say to pick a sub box that allows you pick a subscription period, as opposed to being locked in for a year - most have 3 and 6 month plans. You'll get a good amount and variety with just one box. And if I pass on a lesson learned, it's keep an eye on how many sheet masks you have - they can pile up pretty quickly. lol.
Thank you! You're always so helpful and knowledgeable. I followed your recommendation and checked out the masksheets store. You were right - there's a good selection. I picked up a few of the ones on the list you and @Shosh85 made for me. I don't use sheet masks as often as the two of you, so I only picked up a handful, enough for a few nights of masking with the husband.
Yay @missy94612! I hope you and your husband like the masks. Picking up a few is a really great way to go about it. Sheet masks can pile up pretty quickly! ๐
@Samtian, youโre very welcome. I love that thereโs usually a sheet mask sale somewhere! ๐ Though thatโs probably also the reason my sheet mask collection grew so quickly in the past. ๐๐คฃ๐ Weโll focus on โin the pastโ with that last statement. ๐
