This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights 💮

January	Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings.
February	Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC.
March	March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please!

@itsfi  I have several more from this line that @lmaster sent to me. One of my resolutions is to get back in a consistent masking routine, so hopefully I will try them soon!

My “A” for the week, and how I started off 2021 - A’Pieu Bananas!

The first mask of the year was the very cooling OLEHENRIKSEN Cold Plunge Pore Mask 3 oz/ 90 mL. I almost always forget to check my pores after using a mask like this, and this time was no exception. Which is fine because I use it for how good it feels on my skin! This is such a good summertime mask, and one I plan to restock at some point.

The innisfree My Lip Balm is a good choice for a matte balm with longer-than usual longevity. I like the added tint, too, it’s very cheery! 

The A’Pieu Banana Sheet Mask was a gift from the wonderful @Shosh85, and one I’ve been saving for a special day. Friday seemed perfect 👌🏼 I was greeted by a true Runt Banana scent, yum, yum, yum 🍌 The banana and strawberry were my favorites, so this was a treat. The fit was pretty good, and I was able to wear it for about 20 minutes before it began to dry a bit. I didn’t notice any residual tackiness, and my skin felt sufficiently hydrated. Thank you Shosh85, for sending this my way, it was a fun start to the New Year:)

The cold plunge is so refreshing, @haleyvvvv! And as far as banana-scented masks go, this one is one of the sweetest and strongest, too☺️

Yes, I think as far as fruit scents go, @itsfi, A’Pieu packs a punch! Their icing bar masks, the melon one-is so, so good, too.

Awww this one was so fun, @Shosh85 - such a great start to the year! And I am already plotting my candy fill in February, time to try Runts again. Although, I suspect I still won’t like the lime unless I eat them with the orange 🍊😉 Thank you for sharing this one, it was great!

@eshoe   I can’t help but feel that the very fact you forget to check your pores means you’re doing alright in the pore department;) 

And banana runt scent sounds sooooo good!   I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t work at all and just had  the sensory trip.

Maybe that is my problem, @heartsmyface. I  am guilty of using detox masks because that’s just what one does, right? Once a week, because my skin ‘needs’ it. I guess psychologically, masks make me feel like I am doing something right once a day😄

@itsfi oh this looks like something I’d really like.  I have to do a lip product declutter soon to both kick out any disappointing products and make room for fresh ones.  I’ll be happy if I can declutter half a drawer.

@itsfi   Everything gets out of control so quickly!  I can only imagine we’re all in need of a little clean out.  My end goal is to leave 2021 is slightly less than I entered it with, including new purchases.  Sounds easy but I know it won’t be.

 i finally got around to trying this firming mask from erno laszlo which i keep pulling out to try.  It was one I acquired in a mask exchange.  I guess the mixing step was a bit of a deterrent.  Cute that it’s actually blue when mixed up.  It was difficult to get on my face evenly and I kept trying to smooth it out to no avail and ended up with it looking super chunky on one side of my face cause it began to dry as I was smoothing it.  
the mask smells minty and feels super refreshing on.  It dries down like a rubber mask and comes off easily.  There was some residue I had to spot wash off. The main ingredient it boasts is spirulina maxima which i like in general so I had high hopes.  I didn’t notice any firming with this one but my face felt super soft and lightly hydrated.  I likely wouldn’t go out of my way to find this mask again but it was pleasant overall.

I keep putting off this mask because of the mixing @heartsmyface! And I feel like I would make a mess of it. Maybe one of my skincare resolutions for this year will be to finally give this EL mask a try. 😆
