Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

The SupaScrub and Balm combo sounds like a nice one, @itsfi. Maybe Sephora will expand their offerings from the brand soon.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi  I haven't seen that mask around, but it looks really nice. And to my eyes, the indigo/violet transition reads a bit pinkish anyhow. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I have this mask @itsfi nice to know its enjoyable. What?! Pink is not in the rainbow? Not according to my mini, teeni too. But she out grew it. ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ’–

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi pink should definitely be in the rainbow!! Awesome masking

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Last nights mask for Forgotten mask week. But also P for Amore Pacific

AMOREPACIFIC Treatment Enzyme Peeling Masque

This is a pretty gentle, fast peel.

I think i have already killed a ds b& since these are only about half filled shouldnt be a problem to kill more.

The smell is the typical AP. I like it, feels like a luxe spa treatment. You leave it on for only 5 min. It doesnt really dry down but remains pretty creamy. Does not tighten at all. Washing off, I did get impatient & used a cloth

โ€ƒ

. My skin was left soft but not stripped. I'm not sure about buying a fs. I like a bit more harsher exfoliater & i think it might get pushed aside & its on the pricier side. But still does what it promises so ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@sonnydee  I have a DS if this as well, so I'm happy to hear it worked out nicely for you! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I love most AP products and need to try this one out. It sounds like it worked out lovely for you, @sonnydee

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@sonnydee sounds great!!

P for pesto and pineapple:

Spoiler
The Pangea Facial Mask is like a salad for your face. Itโ€™s not the prettiest, and after going back and forth between kale and basil, Iโ€™ve determined the scent to border on pesto. It has a literal smorgasbord of edible ingredients including basil, matcha tea, kombu, and goji.

I wanted to add antenna and a little smiley face to this, but refrained. It is slightly greener than this photo would suggest, and the little exfoliating bits are soft, not at all harsh. It almost dries down after 15-20 minutes, but doesnโ€™t make my skin feel tight. Itโ€™s a bit messy to wash off, but leaves my skin a little brighter, and maybe even a bit more smoothed in appearance. Iโ€™ve used it a few times and find it both weird and enjoyableโ˜บ๏ธ

Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Purified Water (Aqua), Glycerin (Vegetable)*, Alcohol (SDA 38B Lavender)*, Kaolin (French White Clay), Bentonite (Green Clay), Gigartina Papillata (Seaweed) Powder, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Powder, Camellia Sinensis (Matcha Tea) Leaf Powder, Sea Vegetable Powder (Alaria Marginata (Wakame), Laminaria Setchellii (Kombu) Powder), Glyceryl Stearate SE, Lecithin*, Chondrus Cripus (Irish Moss) Powder, Ethylhexyl Palmitate (RSPO Palm Kernel Oil), Saccharum Officinarum (Cane Sugar)*, Citrus Reticulata (Green Mandarin) Peel Oil, Myrtus Communis (Myrtle) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender Maillette) Oil, Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (High Oleic Sunflower Seed) Oil*, Xanthan Gum, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Extract*, Lycium Barbarum (Goji) Fruit Extract*, Ilex Paraguariensis (Yerba Mate) Leaf Extract*, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract*, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Extract, Laminaria Digitata (Kelp) Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract. *Organic Ingredients. This product is vegan and gluten-free.
The Aโ€™Pieu Icing Sweet Bar in Pineapple is a repeat and will be until it is discontinued. It has the most deliciously-sweet pineapple scent, ample serum (very drippy, but in a good way!) and leaves my skin happy and just a little bit plumped. No residual tack, either! Love this one and every other Icing Sweet Bar mask for the fun and fruity scents and ease of use.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  Hmmm, a pesto scent sounds interesting! It's definitely not the prettiest looking mask, but I'm glad to hear you got some nice results!

Love that A'pieu line! They all have great results, though I wasn't a fan of the scent on the Hanrabong one - it's the only one I would not repurchase. Happy to hear you're enjoying them! ๐Ÿ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I didnโ€™t mind the hanrabong one so much, @Shosh85, but the pineapple one has one of the best scents of any mask Iโ€™ve tried!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

A salad for your face ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Aside from the odd look, it does sound like the Pangea is a nice mask, @eshoe!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

It kind of balances out the sweet, fruity and rose masks, @quspork ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe ohhhh it does even remind me of pesto!! Thanks for sharing this one,,I live seeing new to me masks

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Yep it looks like something to cook with, @lmaster

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe not sure I would like pesto on my face lol but glad the mask works well!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Yeah I like it in my pasta but itโ€™s weird as a facial โ€˜treatโ€™ @Kim888 ๐Ÿ˜‚ Itโ€™s different though, and I guess thatโ€™s what makes it fun!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

And not too far away so I'll count it as on time: O & L / Masks that Make you Hungry week

I went straight chocolate. I pulled some other yummy sounding masks but took it easy.

First up was the Chocolate Milk Bomb mask I took out of Masks On the Move

So let's start with the smell. To me it smelled like alcohol chocolate/chocolate martini. And while I love chocolate, the alcoholic versions of chocolate just aren't as pleasant for me. The mask had a milky serum and fit well. I honestly don't remember much. I wore it longer than the 20 recommended minutes, my guess is 30 but I didn't write it done. My skin did feel moisturized and I think it worked nicely considering I had some rough skin around my nose from blowing it a bit with my sickness (sorry if that's TMI). I would call this a decent mask but it isn't pushing me to search it out. Falls in the use if it comes my way but wouldn't buy. I also wish it was more of a true chocolate scent so I'd rate it a B.

My other chocolate is from @Shosh85 and I was excited to try it out. I also remember thinking "which masks are women owned" when we had that week and now I at least can recognize one brand that falls into that category ๐Ÿ™‚

Only one face pic but I was able to do this twice with the contents of the package - woo! It only heated briefly during application in a few spots the first time and the second I felt a bit more areas heated but it was only very briefly. The smell was chocolate but maybe waxy too. More favorable than the other chocolate scent. I wore it 20 minutes both times then washed off using a makeup eraser. When removing with makeup eraser I got the best chocolate smell - kinda like brownie batter and I wish that was how it always smelled. My skin looked nice and I think doing a mask with clay was helpful since I was off my once a week routine of using a clay mask. I enjoyed this and would say B+.

So everyone, what's your favorite chocolate mask? Any that you strongly recommend or would say to pass on?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica Andddddd here we are at 3pm and I want brownie batter.... hmmmmm.....

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Crisis averted @ShortErica  Iced coffee with a shot of chocolate syrup now in hand. The wash off mask actually looked like chocolate pudding to me.  I'll have to keep that one in mind.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica  Too bad the first one smelled like alcohol total bummer. The second one is a score you got 2 used out of it!!!
