January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@WinglessOne This one sounds nice - glad it could help calm things down! Where would one go to smell a Cica plant? I'm super curious as well ๐ค
I've never heard of EURO-NApre, but now I feel like I need to do more research on it! Hopefully it was a mistake ๐
@WinglessOne Iโm just jealous that you have a working Mac. Mine had its WiFi lose all sense when the keyboard got a tiny bit of water on it. Iโm tethered and annoyed but at least I can type ๐
โSo I poured this maskโs serum into the dry sheet pouch an hour ahead of time.โ That is a beautiful hack, and I want that scent in my next mask. I am curious about the silver you mentioned, also as you mentioned-will have to look that one up. I think itโs fair to say you have exceeded your great masks per month quota๐
@eshoe Aw, sorry about your Mac. ๐ I resisted buying a new one (a laptop) for years because Apple stopped making them easily customizable a few years ago. I'm still getting used to this one's touch strip above the keyboardโI somehow keep accidentally touching itโand the enormous touchpad. ๐
@Shosh85 I'm trying to remember where I first heard about the EURO-NApre issue... Lab Muffin, maybe? I haven't heard anything more about it, but I also haven't kept track of it, what with all the other worse and confirmed badness happening in the world this year. Anyway, this is the kind of thing I'd love to hear more chemists weigh in on. Yet another reason I wish I knew Korean: it'd be much faster to search for info at Korean sites, news, and journals, without relying on a Korean-to-English translator.
Apparently you can buy potted centella asiatica from etsy. I'm very tempted to buy one! I wonder if any local nurseries carry it. There might also be 100% cica powder available from a few places, especially those that sell "traditional" medicines... hmm... the lengths I'll go to just to know for certain what something smells like... ๐คฃ I went through this exercise back when I was first training my nose to identify various notes in wines: I read some wine pros' tasting notes on specific wines, and anything they identified that I didn't already know the smell or taste of, I tracked down just to smell and taste myself. Decades later, I still do it whenever there's a taste/fragrance note I can't identify, like cica.
Heading over to Etsy now, @WinglessOne, Iโm too curious. Eta: bought the seeds, letโs see if I can get them to sprout.
These look really cool @WinglessOne sounds wonderful as well, price point idk maybe a good mask to splurge on once in awhile?
@WinglessOne I think @Shosh85 mentioned an $8 sheet mask was a bit beyond her liking and I'm in the same boat. I'll be very curious about your final decision at the end of the year. I'm glad it does give great results.
C is for The Creme Shop Cold brew mask

@emaisgr8 Love the scent on this one! I'd definitely use it a lot more too, if it weren't for that dang alcohol! Glad you liked too! ๐โ๏ธ
@emaisgr8 love the scent on this one
Yay for the scent and results @emaisgr8! I wish The Creme Shop would step it up in the fit department. They are so accessible and it's a bummer that they don't fit a little more nicely.
Last night I used Bombee Fruitables White Squeeze Balancing mask.
I had a nice serum. I had a hard time unfolding it. It felt wonderful on. It is supposed to balance damaged areas and smooth skin texture. I can really use that right now with all the irritation my face coverings are causing.
I woke up with nice calm skin.

@emaisgr8 Love these masks! Happy to hear this one worked wonderfully for you! ๐
I like these so much @emaisgr8 I hope they come back around Marshalls
Ooo these are nice and I appreciate the slim packaging. @emaisgr8 have you tried any of the others from this line. The white sounds great!
I have @ShortErica ! I've like all of the ones I've tried.
C is for coconut ๐ฅฅ
Peripera Juice Time Coconut Sheet Mask ๐ฅฅ
This is a medium thickness cotton sheet mask that was saturated with a white milky serum and had a very light coconut scent. The fit was good - just a teeny bit too wide at the temples and a little long at the chin. The adherence was great and it was super comfortable to wear. I kept it on for a half hour. There was some very light tackiness for the first 10 minutes after removing. My face felt refreshed and looked a little brighter and my skin felt slightly plumped and super moisturized.
This made my face feel happy and would definitely be great for the winter/colder months. I loved it and would absolutely repurchase! (For as long as they're still making them, anyway ๐ข)
(The site is still not letting me post the ingredients picture for some reason - apparently I'm only allowed one picture at a time ๐ค)
Oh boo about the picture @Shosh85! Glad the mask was good though. Not sure how I feel about some of the latest updates. I'm disappointed we can't switch to the html because I enjoyed messing with the code if something I was doing wouldn't cooperate how I wanted. Hopefully they get the picture thing fixed. I was able to add a ton when I just posted so maybe it's resolved.
@ShortErica I still can't get a second picture to load, just that first one. I'm sure they're working on it, along with a lot of other kinks.
I always hated updates on the computers at work - that really screwed everything up and jumbled things around ๐ฌ
