Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
Thanks, @Aaliaa!! I hope the others are just as good! What's nice about B&BW is that they always seem to have some kind of sale– so it's very possible these will go on sale again. Also, I read they are coming out with more new sheet masks! 🤗
Yay, happy to hear you found a new mask that worked for you, @Shosh85! I think I’ve found that I prefer the thinner cotton masks to the medium-thick weight ones, as they are easier to adjust in a pinch.
Thank you so much, @eshoe!! I definitely agree, I prefer thinner vs. thicker – it just seems so much more comfortable! 👌
I was pretty excited to try a new pink gel mask tonight, as well as an Espresso sheet mask and a Sephora lip scrub everyone ❤️‘s here, for very good reason.
I picked up the gel mask on clearance for $9, and while it wasn’t great, it wasn’t terrible. I just need to accept there is no alternative to the fresh 🌹 mask. The sheet mask was a medium weight cotton, drenched in serum. The scent reminded me of Bailey’s, not a terrible thing! I made a few changes around the eyes, and left it on for 20 minutes or so. My skin was a little tacky, but it has since dried down a bit. The Sephora Honey lip scrub was so talked about, and I am very happy that I bought it-it was a real highlight to tonight’s masking. I’m not sure how much of a scrub it is, I bought the rose one a week ago and they seem similar in texture. Wondering if I am supposed to remove it, or just wear and go? It wears well and I only had to reapply once when my beloved Herbivore wore off (❤️ the scent of that so much). I am so, so happy with the Sephora Honey Scrub, thank you, @Shosh85
Ended the night with what will probably make its way onto my November list, if I finish my samples, the LaLa.
Nice masking combo @eshoe! I have that espresso sheet mask and will have to give it a try soon. I love the honey lip scrub, it’s gentle exfoliant.
I really love this honey scrub, so glad I bought it, it feels nourishing and I can use it on the go. With my other lip exfoliator (Lush Honey) it needs to be washed off, so it is a bit more time intensive, @itsfi. I would never have tried this if it weren’t for this thread, @Shosh85 thank you! I have found so many really good skin products here, I ❤️ it😄!!!
Hmmm... the Sephora lip scrub sounds interesting. I have SUPER chapped lips ALL THE TIME. Do you think this would be a bad choice for me then? (Because you said there wasn't much exfoliation, which this girl needs badly.) Just curious. 🙂 Or is it still hydrating enough to be a good product? @eshoe @Shosh85 @Aaliaa
@SchylarR I had super chapped lips all the time too, until I started using the lip scrub! The sugar exfoliants are gentle but effective -(and pretty tasty too, haha!😋) Two ways I like to use it are just rubbing the sugar exfoliants between my lips until it dissolves, and I'm left with soft, smooth and hydrated lips – or you can use it just as a scrub, wipe it off, and apply a lip mask. 🤗
I have only tried 2 other lip scrubs, @SchylarR, the Bite Cherry Whipped Scrub (which I would not recommend) and Lush’s Honey Lip Scrub, which is great for some intensive exfoliating! Keep in mind I have only used the Sephora honey scrub a couple of times, just got it this week. I ❤️ it as a balm, the scent and texture are fantastic! I plan on trying the 🥝 scent as well, I believe that is another of the Sephora exfoliators for lips.
Oooo intensive lip scrubbing... Sounds right up my alley! 🙂 Thanks for the extra info! @eshoe
@eshoe These all sounds like a great combination! 👍
I just ran out of my LaLa sample and I’m so sad – I’m having a hard time shelling out the money for the full size!
With the Sephora Lip Scrub, I usually like to rub the the sugar exfoliant between my lips until it dissolves and then I'm good to go – my lips are left feeling soft and moisturized. No wiping off is needed, unless you're using it as just a scrub and plan on using a lip mask after👌😉
Too bad about the mixed bag but glad you liked the lip scrub. I've found the scrubby bits aren't evenly distributed so sometimes I apply more till I can feel more of a scrub. I personally wipe it away and then apply my laniege lip mask. @eshoe
@Aaliaa, I have reached the scrubby bits😉 It’s so good!
Ah, ok @Aaliaa. I don’t use any matte lipsticks or otherwise drying lip products, so my lips don’t need much exfoliating. This is the perfect product for me, as I much prefer a tube applicator rather than a pot (like my Lush Honey Lip scrub- which I love but rarely use). I think I could just apply my Bite agave afterwards. Thank you!
@AshleyNoelMUA So happy to hear you've tried this out and liked it too! @itsfi just tried it too and I'm sure will be happy to compare results!! I still haven't tried mine out yet, but it's good to know what to expect! 👌 Thanks for the awesome review on this!
Tried a new one tonight from World Market 🤔
Unfortunatley, this was a no go for me. The hydrogel was of the extra-super-slimey variety which is immediately a turn off for me. But, good news it was two pieces which always makes masking while wine 🍷 drinking a little easier 🙃. But, after about 15 min the sensitive skin in my upper lip and under eye started tingling and burning a bit. So, of course, I took it off after. My skin doesn’t feel bouncy or hydrated but doesn’t feel dry either. This is an all around meh for me. I have high hopes for the other two masks I got so looking forward to trying them this week!
Awh, it is a shame that this one didn't work out too well for you! 😞 But... on the plus side... I can't stop staring at that little panda poking up from the top. @scott1201 He looks very sorry.
I'm glad you took off the mask @scott1201! The mask looked promising and how great that masks are sold at World Market now, though burning is never good when it comes to masking! Fingers crossed the other 2 masks provide a better experience and better results!
@scott1201 Well, at least it made drinking wine easier! Haha! It sounds like you got your priorities straight 😂 Also, that pretty packaging would definitely suck me in!
I’ve been to World Market a couple of times just recently, and had no clue they sold masks! Another place I’ll be adding to the list of places to look! Hopefully the other ones you got turn out better! 😉👍
