Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

On brand for the last day of this week’s challenge!
Hoping to clean out my skin - I’ve had some congestion on my chin with white and blackheads recently. Started with the Glamglow, followed by the DE, then ending with some moisture in the Creme Shop sheet mask. These are all repeats for me so I won’t offer too many details. Let me know if you have any questions!
Fabulous masking choices @scott1201! 🙌🏻 Hopefully your skin is looking a little more clear to head into a new week 😄
Those are some of my fave masks @scott1201, especially the Babyfacial and Cold Brew masks!
@scott1201 Oooh, this looks like a great trio! That GlamGlow sure does a good job to help clear things up! 👌
You know I love the Cold Brew mask! Can’t wait to open the new pack I got! These are so perfect for morning masking! 🙌
It seems DE Babyfacial is very popular around here!! Eventually I’ll try it out, haha!– I’m just usually hesitant to buy a spendy full-size product of something I haven’t tried out yet. 😬 By the sound of everyone’s reviews though, I’m thinking I may just go ahead and buy it anyway! 😉🤗
@Shosh85 usher to be an enabler, but you could just exchange or return it if it’s really disappointing for you, or maybe get a sample in store- though I understand how a trip to Sephora might happen less rarely than a solar eclipse with little kids to care for, so ordering online might be easier ☺️ I should probably use it more before recommending it, but it worked so nice and I didn’t have any breakouts or negative reactions from it. If you’re skin likes aha/bha it might be a nice treat.
These are from yesterday.
I used up the last of my DS GlamGlow YouthMud Treatment yesterday morning by applying it just on my nose and along my jawline for maybe 10 minutes, rinsed off and then reached for The Crème Shop Dead Sea Mud Mask Shine Control. My cheeks are on the drier side and tend to dry out so I passed on The Crème Shop mask for my cheeks and concentrated the mask on my nose, the bridge of my nose, my chin and all down my neck and as a spot treatment for a pimple on my forehead that is taking its sweet, sweet time going away. After removing The Crème Shop Mud Mask, I applied the REN Evercalm Mask all over.
The night before I had learned some relatives were in town and we’d be meeting up with them in the evening so before we headed out, I decided to try The Crème Shop Cheer Up, Skin! Mask. This was the first animal themed mask from The Crème Shop that I’ve used. As I think about it now, in general, probably not a good idea to try out a new mask before an outing but I looked through the ingredients and nothing caught my eye as being a potential allergy or sensitivity trigger for me so I went for it.
The Crème Shop Mud Mask does an okay job at reducing the shine from my oily nose and T-zone. It is a mud mask that dries down and hardens. While I could feel it tightening and hardening on my skin, it was not uncomfortable though when I moved my face, I could feel the mud mask cracking and I imagined that my T-zone and neck looked like Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.
The REN Evercalm mask is a nice rinse off mask for calming, soothing irritated skin or areas of redness and hydration. I’ll use it after a mud mask that dries down, like this Crème Shop one. I like the REN Evercalm because I can leave it on for 5 minutes and then rinse off or I can leave it on as an overnight mask. I tend to use it more as an overnight mask, but yesterday, I used it as a rinse off and left it on for 5 minutes. My skin felt happy, soft, calm and refreshed. It has a very soft, refreshing scent of natural flowers and maybe mildly of herbs, not in a medicinal way but more in a natural, clean way.
The Crème Shop Cheer Up, Skin! Mask is geared towards brightening and its main ingredients are pearl and hyaluronic acid, both of which my skin has dealt on numerous occasions without negative skin reactions in masks. As the front of the mask shows, it’s part of their animal-themed sheet mask collection and is designed to resemble a zebra. I think they have the coloring down for a zebra but I’m not sure I look like a zebra; or, if I do, I feel like the design on the eye flaps make me look like a zebra with creepy beady eyes. Take a look for yourself…
Beady eyes, right?! After seeing the pic, I did feel like we should go to the zoo so I could see if zebras have beady eyes – I wouldn’t have thought so but for this mask… Anyhow, that evening’s plans did not include a visit to the zoo, so I’ll have to fact check that another day. 😉
Interesting feature of this zebra mask is that, at least to me, the bottom portion felt thicker, maybe more textured is a better way to describe it, than how the top portion of the mask feels. The size and shape of the mask was okay; the only issue I had was that if I moved the mask up to cover my entire forehead, the eyes, nose and lip area would be a tight fit, but if I positioned the mask so that those areas fit well, nearly perfect actually, then not all of my forehead would be covered. I went with the latter approach and applied the little bit of extra essence in the pouch onto the part of my forehead that was not covered by the mask.
I left my zebra face (minus the eye flaps) on for maybe half an hour and after I removed the mask and patted in the essence that was left from it, I noticed my skin looked more plump and hydrated and my complexion looked brighter, more refreshed. I’d definitely use this mask again (without the eye flaps) – thinking about it, next time, I may cut the eye flaps off and into strips and use that along the part of my forehead that the mask does not reach.
🦓 oh my gosh this is a really fun mask @itsfi 😄 these animal prints are always so silly, I love them!
I like hearing you use the Arleen mask overnight, I have a foil sample of it and I may use it like that when my skin is ready, thanks for the tip!! 😄
I'm with your kitty - I'd want to claw myself out through the window screen too if I had gotten a glimpse of myself in the "zebra" mask, @keana1!
Your cat would wonder what happened to her human. Or why some guy who looks high and in desperate need of a shave walked out of your bathroom, wearing your robe! hahahaha! I wonder if these brands ever test to see what the mask looks like on someone, and not just look at what the design on the mask looks like when printed.
@itsfi They probably just design the animals without thinking about the consequences! Imagine a young child getting up and seeing it’s mom with those masks on ! It’s enough to make them believe that the Boogeyman exists 👹🤡😱
Too late! He’s out! Haha!! 😂 @yankeefaithful
