Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
I've done both. If my skin has been feeling extra dry I've doted it on but as a mask I'm only using a thin layer. @fieldsofclover
Hmmm.... you've piqued my curiosity about the Sunday Riley Saturn Mask, @moxiepancakes. That the mask is powerful enough to smight stuborrn zits as you say, is a major plus, but with that sort of potency, do you find it very drying?
I find most clay masks a bit drying but (recently read that we should keep our clay masks moist to avoid this) but it does not compare to the some of the drying treatments I've used in the past like benzoyl peroxide.
As for effectiveness it does seem to help reduce size and inflammation but I am also using a prescription treatment Aczone at night. After this treatment combo The chin zit was reduced by half and the little one by my nose was undetectable.
I have not had clear skin scene I was about 14 and have tried every topical treatment I could get my hands on. The Aczone has made the most significant difference of all products I have tried, but it has not completely fixed the problem. @Anonymous
Thank you @moxiepancakes! Oh yes, there are some very drying treatments out there; benzoyl peroxide being one of them. I may see about getting a sample of the Sunday Riley mask.
Your skincare routine looks to be working well for your - your skin looks amazing!
Thanks but it's all good light and makeup
Your makeup always looks lovely, but it has a great canvas to work from - your beautiful skin.
Used a Sephora sleeping mask last night and was disappointed. Not hydrating and i woke up with a small pimple! Definitely not a keeper.
Weird, never tried the honey one... it's new. Sorry to hear it wasn't nice to you @nikki 😞
Too bad it didn't work for you @nikki. I can't decide what I think about the Sephora brand masks, but I fin them quite expensive for what they are.
I agree with you, @Aaliaa. They seem cheap because of the low cost per pod, but when you compare the price to a jar of a better-quality mask, they’re not cheap at all.
@Aaliaa@fieldsofclover @Anonymous it’s weird, since I’ve tried other Sephora sleeping masks and they’ve been ok. I really liked the pearl one in particular. Something in this one just didn’t agree with my skin. @Aaliaa I get you on the expensive for what they are. Plus I hate that they aren’t resealable because there’s definitely enough in there for more than one night
@nikki I don’t like that about them either. Having a cling film-covered half-empty pod on my counter just annoys me.
Oh noooo, @nikki! I've not tried the sleeping mask from the Sephora Collection - the other masks seemed to be fine. So sorry to hear that the sleeping mask did not work out for you. 😞
I feel like I’m still recovering from New Year’s Eve so tonight I decided to use Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask.
It’s only my second time trying it out so I can’t say if it’s effective or not. It smells like watermelon jolly ranchers but the smell doesn’t linger. I’m going to use it as a sleeping mask and be more consistent with applying it this week to see if it’s worth the price.
@CakesCakes I've been using this mask for several months and like the brightness it gives my skin. It does make my skin softer but not as much as other masks have. I would keep using it and am interested in how it works for you.
I've heard so many good things about this mask @CakesCakes. I'd love to hear more of what you think about it after you've had the chance to try it out a bit longer!
@CakesCakes I love how the watermelon mask smells! It really does smell like a jolly rancher
Love a good sleeping mask @CakesCakes! Will be interested to hear your thoughts on this one after you've had some time to test it out.
I'd love to know how you like this mask @CakesCakes, as its on my list when I head to the US next month.
