Good Products For Oily And Acne Prone Skin?

I have very oily and acne prone skin. I need some good skin care products. Does anyone know a good cleanser and moisturizer. Do toners actually work?

@Zaffre A good cleanser is FAB Face Cleanser.  It is gentle yet effective.  CeraVe PM is a great moisturizer in general, but also for acne-prone skin.  Good luck!

From my personal experience and current skincare routine, I've found Philosophy's Purity cleanser to be amazing! It removes make-up so well too, which is an added bonus for me! I used to use Olay however it to be too heavy at time. I've recently started using Cetaphil's Moisturizing Lotion (water-based and light) and although it gives an awkward feeling after applying, it goes away. Not heavy at all, highly moisturizing and recommended by my dermatologist as well as a few of my friend's dermatologists.

Perhaps you may want to check out the Boscia thermal black cleanser as well as their charcoal hydration gel (moisturizer). They are formulated to help with your skin concerns. A toner can definitely make a difference, just make sure you find one tailored for your skin type to help meet your needs. 🙂

I would buy a mild cleanser without soap. To save $ I use Vanicream facial cleanser from Walgreens. It’s for sensitive skin and does very well at cleaning. I use a rose toner without alcohol in the morning if I forgot to exfoliate the night before. Use a toner if it’s your preferred choice of exfoliation or else it might be too much if combined with other exfoliating methods. If you need a hydrating toner Kheils has a good one:the ultra facial toner. For acne prone skin, I love Drunk elephant glycolic acid. If you don’t have sensitive skin, glam glow clearing mud masks are wonderful.

Cleansers: Philosophy's Purity and FAB's cleanser

Acne Treatments: look for a serum with salicylic acid

Moisturizers: Belif's Aqua Bomb, Caudalie's Vinosource Sorbet Creme, Ole Henriksen's Sheer Transformation

Toners are great for a variety of things. Some of them are pH adjusting if you're using a harsh cleanser. Some of them add hydration. Some of them target an issue and prep your skin for other treatments. Pixi Glow Tonic is a nice one to start with.

Kate Somerville and Dr. Dennis Gross (skincare lines both carried at Sephora) have great anti-acne products.  Although not in his acne line, the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Peel Pads are great for fighting acne!
