Eye Cream for milia and sensitive eyes

Im 25 and have been using various eye creams for about 3 years. I started with thicker creams like Fresh Black Tea for hydration but noticed my eyes would be hard to open the next morning and milia would appear. I moved more towards gels/ oils but I still get milia and puffy eyes. I also have thin skin under my eyes and my veins and lines are becoming more transparent over time. Eye cream just do not seem to be beneficial for me.

Are there any eye creams/brands/ingredients better for sensitive eyes prone to milia? Or maybe its not the eye cream creating this? I just need a bit of advice..

Thank you!!

Re: Eye Cream for milia and sensitive eyes

Milia are small cysts of keratin that form when the the overlying pore has closed.  They are typically caused by using products that are too emollient/oily for your skin type. They should be treated by a dermatologist or one certified in removing them; trying to remove them yourself  puts you at risk for scarring (b/c you have to open the skin) and infection. I have read that using a gentle AHA (low % glycolic or lactic acid) over time can help by removing the skin closing the pore but it is best used to prevent them from occurring.

I have some milia spots as well so I keep my skin care around the eyes simple using natural products. I'm loving Ole Henriksen's eye cream or anything my Belif

I too have very sensitive eyes & have to be quite careful. First of all do NOT use sample anything on or around your eyes. Buy it & if it doesn't work, return. So many people help themself to samples in stores & you don't want an infection. Also, my eye Drs. both put me on an eye wash, OCuSOFT. You can buy at Wal-Greens, comes in a tall pump or for travel little foil sealed towelettes. Wash eye area focusing where you would apply liner on top & bottom lash line. Hope this helps.

RE: Eye Cream for milia and sensitive eyes

It definitely could be another product, like your eye makeup remover. I suggest to check your products and also include a light exfoliation to your routine as this might be an accumulation of dead skin cells. Hope this helps!
