@eshoe totally miss my Origins Ginzing for AM I gotta get my hands on it! Also had the same problem with tagging on my iPad!
I have been on the same .5oz jar for a year now, @scarletb! I would bet that a holiday set might come out with it included, that is when I bought mine. Origins always has great sets at 🎄time:)
Me: 31F, combo/dehydrated
Concerns: hydration, dullness, texture, hormonal acne, pores, sun damage (sun spots and redness)
I’ve always been interested in skincare but this is my first attempt at a true daily routine. I tried to introduce my new products somewhat slowly and one at a time but well… I tried! Definitely open to suggestions!
AM
Cleanse: Just a cool rinse, as of now, this may change one day
Tone: CAUDALIE - Moisturizing Toner for a ph balance prep
Essence: FRESH - Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence- this has made my skin so soft… at least I think it’s because of the essence 🤷🏻♀️
Treat:OLEHENRIKSEN - Truth Serum® Still not sure if this is in the right spot I’ve heard Vitamin C in different places or if I should just skip toner/essence
Moisturize: Mario Badescu Hydro Moisturizer with Vitamin C - I do love the lightweight consistency for daytime summer but will likely change as it gets colder
Moisturize: BELIF - Moisturizing Eye Bomb
Protect: COOLA Dawn Patrol™ Classic Makeup Primer SPF 30 1 oz/ 30 mL - this was on sale on Birchbox and I needed an SPF for the Vitamin C I loved the idea that it was a primer… not so sure I like the consistency though and I think it’s possible it is causing a very small acne flair up but well I’m not sure at this point what product is the culprit or even if it’s just a little purging from exfoliants
PM
Makeup Removal/ Oil Cleanse: I’ve switched between CLINIQUE Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover 3.8 oz/ 125 mLBiossance Squalane + Antioxidant Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil 6.76 oz / 200 mL
Water Based Cleanse: I’ve switched between FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser and Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Refillable Cleanser 8 oz / 237 ml but mostly Farmacy since I have the full size. Will for sure repurchase the full YTTP.
Exfoliate: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads I’ve really eased into these and have only used 2x a week but I will definitely integrate more frequently and eventually swap for something stronger a few times a week.
Moisturizing Toner: Same as AM
Essence: Same as AM and also have skipped on exfoliating days but I’m not sold on skipping still figuring that out.
Treat/Hydrate: fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL
Eye Serum:DRUNK ELEPHANT - Shaba Complex™ Eye Serum
Moisturize: Drunk Elephant Protini™ Polypeptide Firming Refillable Moisturizer 1.69 oz/ 50 mL or Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 mL
Overnight Mask: belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask 2.53 oz/ 75 mL only used a few times on exfoliant days but I think it was a GAME CHANGER
Spot Treatment:Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion
Lips:LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Berry
Mine is a little boring, but it's backed by good science.
Morning:
Evening:
@SoraDixie There's no such thing as a boring skincare routine, unless it's a Cetaphil cleanser and that's it. lol You got a good mix of products. I used Retin A years ago and it's really one of the best anti aging skincare products on the market.
<3333
❤️ my NuFace, @SoraDixie! You are smart to use it in the morning. I only recently switched from evenings to AM as I realized I was the only one seeing results lol. Going to check out that Timeless Beauty, thanks😊
Oh man I don’t know why it took me so long to realize that I could do it in the mornings! Not only do I see the results throughout the day but since I do it after my husband goes to work and my kids go to school don’t embarrass myself with all the beeping.
I only wish mine beeped when I need to switch areas, @Zabby2116. I sometimes forget to keep track😕
My morning routine is pretty well set -
I cleanse with KS on non-physical exfoliant days, peel with Philosophy Microdelivey once a week, and use the Walnut Scrub once or twice a week. Everything else I use daily in the order of PTR - Truth Serum - SPF/Banana/Divine Drip (on neck/chest/dec.) - AO Light.
Feedback - I love love love the Philosophy Peel and wish I could use it daily. QVC had a mega size for half the price and it’s a staple so I went for it. Been using it for years, same with the Josie Maran line. I don’t see myself switching that up either. The KS is a nice cleaner that doesn’t dry out my skin. I don’t know if I notice any chemical exfoliating benefits but a lot of cleansers are too drying for me so I’ll likely stick with it for now. Seems to last a long time too.
I’ve been using the Truth Serum for a couple of weeks and I’ve really enjoyed it, but I’m afraid it won’t last very long since I’m already 2/3 of the way done. So we will see if I repurchase or go for a similar serum when I finish it. I’ve aslo only had the Walnet Scrub for a couple of weeks and I also enjoy it just fine, but I prefer Ole’s Sauna Scrub so I’ll probably go back to that when I finish this tube. Banana Bright is great, but I’m almost done with it, and I might need something more moisturizing for the winter months.
Finally, the PTR - It’s fine. I like the Un-Wrinkle Pads better but I got this since it seemed faster for the morning (no need to rinse with water). I will go back to the Pads when I finish this bottle.
My nighttime routine is a bit lazier... I remove my makeup with a micro-fiber cloth then might do a random mask... Nothing specific, but lately it’s been some sheet masks or pore clay masks. Since I got some samples of Origins masks I’ve been using them. I have a PTR nighttime retinol I’ve been so bad about using... I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it. It doesn’t bother me or break me out, but I don’t know if it’s doing anything. I’m going to try and start using it more.
I need a nighttime eye cream and moisturizer!
@alexasteph, I so feel your pain on not being able to use a peel daily. I have a cabinet full of exfoliants-physical and chemical, that I just ❤️ but had to set aside as they were causing tiny cracks in my skin only noticeable after applying foundation. Now I just scrub my lips😂 and soon I will probably have to give that up, too! I like your idea of using the JM Divine Drip just for the neck/décolleté. That has has been on my radar for awhile now but I have so many body butters I can’t justify it. This makes sense and I love it! Thanks for sharing!
@eshoe Divine Drip is great for it! I like it better on my neck/chest than anywhere else on my body or any other neck/chest product. Josie did put out a nighttime sleeping mask for the face and neck in the Divine Drip line but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s on QVC. But she actually did that because so many people loved it for the neck and chest, and were using it as a night cream. It’s just a tad too heavy for my face I think, even though I have used it that way. I defintely recommend it though! Neck creams are hard, and Divine Drip is really nice. I have three jars in different scents!
3 jars, @alexasteph😂??? I have only tried the honey scent, it’s on my wishlist for the fall sale. Haven’t heard of her sleeping mask. I wonder why she doesn’t have a calming/soothing mask, just the whipped mask (which I ❤️). Yeah I couldn’t see putting the Divine Drip on my face, it is way too thick even for my dry skin.
@eshoe I have I think 4 regular sized jars and 3 or 4 minis of the regular body butters too haha. Josie is one of my favorite lines! I have a few big tubes of hand cream and a couple normal tubes in keep in my desk and purse. QVC! They always have exclusive scents and the big sizes haha.
