Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

Hello All!

I got the Dr Jart Superheroes box last night.

Just now, I used the  Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum, followed by the Ceramidin Cream  and then the Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30

It kinda of stung at first but now my skin just feels kind of raw in spots?

I have very clear skin with no breakouts. Is this normal ?

Thanks xo

You didn't mention your skin type (dry, normal, combo, oily).  I haven't used Dr Jart because those products have a lot of botanical extracts, which irritate my skin (especially rosemary oil/extract and citrus oils/extracts) - so just throwing it out there since you experience some rawness.  I also noted the Ceramidin has shea butter and vegetable oil, which would break me out.

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

@maudelynn13 perhaps the layering of all those products was overwhelming to your skin? I agree with @makeitup305 about trying each separately.

But your skin feeling like it is raw in spots is not normal. I know some active ingredients need to be added in low doses until your skin adjusts. For example, you would try a 2% acid before you put an 8% one on your skin. Hopefully you find the culprit and some of the Super Hero kit are winning products for you.

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

@maudelynn13 I've used all the products before and I used the CC treatment today and I've never had any irritation from it, quite the opposite. However, everybody's skin is different so if yours reacts don't try to force it. Maybe it's reacting to one in particular so you could try patch testing each and see if one triggers it ( try the inside of your wrist maybe).

Thank you for your replay.

I will try each product separately for the next few days and see what happens 🙂

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

@maudelynn13 Interesting that you mentioned that your skin stung, b/c mine did as well when I used the Color Correcting Cream.  I washed it off immediately.  I thought I was the only one.  I know a lot of BICers love the line, so I don't want to knock it.  But the CC cream wasn't for me.  Aside from the burn, I didn't care for the SPF in it and it really emphasized dry spots that I barely knew I had.  Maybe some BICers that like this product have some tips or insight for you.  Good luck!

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

@greeneyedgirl107 - though I have had a good experience with the Color Correcting cream, I am sorry to hear you feel like you couldn't share your experience because so many others in the community love it. We all have different skin and that's why I like seeing everyone's differing opinions. Hopefully I've worded this well. My goal is to encourage you to share your feedback because it could help others in this community, especially if the opinion counters the general consensus. Many times we find we are not alone.

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

I am sorry you experienced this, too. I was thinking I was just the odd one out because so many people love the products.

May I ask what you did not like about the Sunscreen ? That us a hugely important part of my routine

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

@maudelynn13 I personally don't care for the texture SPF gives things.  I also find it hard to remove.  Plus, I'm always paranoid that it will cause me to break out.  I apply it when I lie out on my deck or at the beach, but otherwise I steer clear of it.  I know that's not the right thing to do, and I don't rec others to do it at all.  🙂

Re: Dr Jart How does it feel when you apply it ?

Yep It is very heavy feeling. I use it around the house tbh.

I did get a zit, which i never get and am wondering...

But it is paid for so, I will try it a few more times 🙂
