Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni

Woohoo for Wednesday masking!Sara Happ, Bioderma, Candy O’Lady & When Beauty

When I saw this mask @missjeanie sent my way, I could hardly wait to use it. Now THAT is a stretch, but I really wanted to make it work this week. So to start off, some lip scrubbing with Sara Happ's Lemonade in the new formulation/applicator. I was disappointed to come up empty-handed while searching for the Lano Lemonaid (it's spelled differently than the SH) because I wanted to pair the two a la @faeriegirl. Instead, I found the perfect solution - the Bioderma, which to me (maybe it's wishful thinking) has a cotton-candy scent. Now that may be a legitimate stretch.

The SH - at first was a bit oily, then shortly a few of the scrubbies were expelled. They are a little sparse,so next time I will use my little lip scrubber. The scent is everything - just like lemonade, and just as tart! A fun little addition to my masking. The Bioderma Atoderm Ultra-Moisturizing lip balm (thanks missjeanie!) goes on oh so smoothly and has such a soft, pillowy scent. I love the shape (not flat but diagonal, like most bullets) and the staying power of this one. 

This is the second or third time I've tried the When Rose Coconut Gentle Exfoliating mask. Since @Shosh85 had just mentioned it leaving her cheeks a bit dry, I wanted to pay extra-special attention to how my skin felt afterwards. Unless a mask is terribly drying/stinging/difficult to remove, I don't usually notice. Besides a lovely rose scent, it has a very light exfoliation. HOLY MOLY I just looked it up and it has coconut shell powder, @PinkEvergreen @Weetart steer clear 😆 It felt fine on my skin, but not something I would use more than once a week despite my affinity for a good scrub. And yes, it did leave my cheeks fairly dry. And my forehead. However, since I immediately use the GR mist in between masks, it didn't last. 

Finally, the Mellow Cotton Candy Mask by Candy O'Lady. I was realllllllly hoping for a cotton candy scent, but instead was greeted by a pleasant sheet mask one. It was a fairly thin mask, drenched in an ample amount of serum, and adhered quite nicely without a snip or tuck. It’s a mask you can wear and forget about, love that especially about the thinner masks. I removed after 30 minutes or so so nicely hydrated skin. It had a little tack but not much; an A for an all-around good mask. I really enjoyed my gifts today missjeanie, thank you so much my friend!

Problems only we care about @faeriegirl 😂 that’s ok someone will come out with one some day. I hope. If an illuminating butt mask can be made, so can a cotton candy scented one!

@eshoe I haven't tried out the When scrub but thanks on your review and thoughts. Was also curious about the scent of the sheet mask and well although not cotton candy at least it wasnt a horrible scent. At least it hydrated 🙂

Im so sad there wasn’t a cotton candy scent to the sheet mask @eshoe., but glad that it’s a good one none the less. I’m equally glad the lip balm was nice.  I usually go for fun balms, but figured the LaRoche Posay would have a decent quality... I must remember this for French pharmacy week!

@eshoe I'm bummed there's no cotton candy scent on the Candy O' Lady mask, but sheet mask smell isn't so bad either and it sounds like you saw some nice results!

I saw the coconut shell powder in the ingredients when I was trying to figure out why it's called, "Rose Coconut." Definitely still a great mask, just need to have a little moisturizer handy. 😃👍

You know @Shosh85 I saw the When mask at Costco a few months ago and passed on it because I don't need any more exfoliators in my life. But I was thrilled to be able to try a sample of it! It's still nice, just not something I would RP due to my skin type, no other reason.

@eshoe great masking! I use the bioderma micellar water religiously but I haven't tried any of their other products! Sounds like I should investigate some other things

I love how gentle the Bioderma products are that I've tried so far, @Kim888. @missjeanie sent me a few different items of theirs so I've been having some fun with new products. One of the cleansers is very similar to DE's Beste.

Me too, @divaknits. I'm pretty realistic and mask mostly for the fun of it. I have no idea whether it's actually helping (or hurting) in the long run. Though I have seen adverse effects from too much exfoliation (skin cracks). Scent makes or breaks so many masks.
