2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: LAST Week! - Don't forget hand + foot care

Happy New Year, BIC! ✨ We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝

Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!

Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day 

Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)

Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀

Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑

Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

@Shosh85 I have not tried it but I have it! And I just realized I have the PTR Pumpkin mask in the Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Multiverse 4-Piece Mask Kit !! I should at least try one this weekend!

@Mellmars1185  Yup, the pumpkin one is by far my most favorite out of that kit! The scent alone is reason enough for me to buy it. 😋 In the summertime the cucumber (soothing) one is pretty refreshing, especially for sunburns 😉

They used to make a bigger mask set that had like 6 or 7 minis in it, and one of them was the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask 5 oz which was also pretty good too.

@Shosh85 Ohh a mud mask?! Neat! Does it have a similar effect of a charcoal mask?

@Mellmars1185  It really depends on the mud mask, but in general they kind of do. I'd say they both in general give you soft, smooth, clean and brighter skin. Charcoal masks are probably more for oily/combination/acne prone skin, because they provide more of a deeper clean - while mud masks depending on the type, can be used on a wider variety of skin types. Basically, different kinds of clay will give you different benefits 👇

@peculiarzmakeup Thanks! An egg nog latte is one of my favourite things of life. So naturally, I had to pick this one up. It is LE, so I am glad I did!

For combination skin, I have found the Zit Sticka Press Refresh mask to be so great! It is a cool, soothing jelly base on a skin sticking "graphene" material that tackles redness, acne, dryness, and discoloration all in one refreshing 20 minutes. I can only find it on the brand's website now, but is totally worth it - especially as an add on when getting their patches which are hands down best on the market.

@semac Thanks for sharing! I have not heard of this mask before. It sounds like a wonderful mask. Tacking acne and redness is something I need every once in a while!

I've been seeing that one and the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Cream-Infused Mask 0.63 oz / 18 ml at TJ Maxx and Marshall's, so I assumed they were discontinued.... but it looks like they were just repackaged? So glad to see Sephora is selling them!
