January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@eshoe I love your picture!!! Hmm 10% glycolic that seems high. I donโt remember seeing that product here Iโm wondering if itโs to high Canada doesnโt allow it. I have the scrub now Iโm excited to try it. I remember trying the cream and not feeling like it was overly amazing so Iโm happy to hear itโs not just me. How has your skin been lately?
@ather that definitely might be the case. Seems like the acids are really under control there!
My skin has been a-ok until I tried GLAMGLOW BRIGHTMUDโข Dual-Exfoliation Treatment Mask last night. It ended well thanks to Dr. Jart+ Ceramidinโข Body Lotion 6.76 oz/ 200 mL and Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin โข Moisturizing Cream 1.69 oz/ 50 mL. Thankful I had those on hand to help soothe the madness!
How about you? Any fun/interesting skincare adventures lately?
@eshoe Well in March I woke up one Friday and my eye was swollen almost to the point I could only open it a tiny bit. I had a really bad infection in my face. Not sure how I got it or where it came from. I had to be super careful so basically no makeup and minimal skincare until it healed. Since my face has been good. Very dry but Iโm guessing itโs due to the season change. I switched my foundation to the Kosas oil and it seems to be better. Iโve also been using lawless set the stage primer which I feel works like skincare so double win!! I finally feel like Iโve gotten my skincare routine down perfectly! I used a mask and I added a retinol in last night and my face seems to be ok this morning. Shani Darden Skin Care Mini Retinol Reformยฎ 0.3 oz/ 10 mL I wish the foil had enough for more than one use because it felt so nice. Hope all is well with you and the fam!!!
Oh @ather, that sounds awful! How scary, too. I am very happy to hear that it has healed completely.
I have tried that retinol as well. It was working fine (no irritation at 1x a week) until I bumped it up to twice a week. My skin was NOT happy! I havenโt tried it again since that (a few months ago), but maybe now I will give it another shot. Good luck with it, I hope it is smooth sailing from here!
@eshoe thanks for the reviews on the tula products, I loved one of the cleaners I received so much, so it's nice to see how other products perform
Oh thatโs good to know about the cleanser, @lmaster. Would love to know which one it was!
@eshoe I think it was the cult classic purifying cleanser
@eshoe, I found the Vitamasques gemstone masks I tried, including this jade one, to be options for filler masks. Nice that it's a repurchase for you. I see them at Target so it's accessible for many.
Thatโs good to know about the gemstone line, @itsfi. I picked up a berries one and am hoping ๐ค๐ผfor a positive experience out of that one, too!
PSA: early access available on Sephora app, today (5/16) only
@itsfi Oooo such a great set!!! I didnโt know they had watermelon under eye masks!!!
@ather, there's usually something new we learn about in these sets, right?! I don't think I've tried the watermelon under eye masks; I've tried the SEPHORA COLLECTION Clean Eye Mask Caffeine and liked it. They recently released to new "flavors" - SEPHORA COLLECTION Vitamin Eye Masks Papaya + Vitamin C and SEPHORA COLLECTION Vitamin Eye Masks Aloe Vera + Vitamin E. I picked up the papaya one but haven't had a chance to try it. I may include in it the sheet mask bag I'm putting together for my carry-on. ๐ โ๏ธ
@itsfi Urg my no buy mask is keeping me away from seeing all these new flavours! I didnโt even know about the coffee one! Interested in your thoughts on the papaya one too!!! Are you going away for work or vacation?
Ack! Sorry @ather, you did not see these masks! ๐ Nope, nothing to see here! Going away for work; I have a stretch of travel over the next few weeks and also at various times this summer that'll be interesting - it's been a while since I've had that "routine" of gone for 3-4 days, back for 3, gone for 1-2 days, back for a few, then away again for 2-3 days, etc. It'll be fine; I just need to get used to that "routine" again when it comes up. ๐ฌ
Thank you for the heads up, @itsfi - this is a great deal for someone looking to try these out!
The eye holes for this mask are heart shaped which I thought was a nice, cute touch. After 20 minutes, you remove the mask and apply step 2, a cream that is found in the top heart of the packet - this is some very creative packaging. I really liked the combination of the essence from the first step and the cream from the second step.
@minathayes Aww the heart shaped eye holes are super fun!
@minathayes, I used this one a while back but remember liking it a lot. The little extra details in this 2-step mask like the heart shaped eye holes and that nourishing cream, are nice touch!
Oh this is such a good mask, @minathayes! The heart cut out eyes, the pink sheet, and the bonus cream - yes, please!
The heart eye cutouts really do add to the cuteness factor, @minathayes .
