This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights 💮

February	Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC.

@lmaster, love the results. This lychee one, the strawberry version and the watermelon "after sun" mask are my favorites among the Sephora Collection Clean face masks.

O for oil balancing?

tl;dr: While I'll have to put its oil balancing claims to the test at another time (like when my skin is more oily), the Tencel-fiber My Beauty Diary Sahara Scenedesmus Oil Balancing Sheet Mask checks off a lot of boxes -

• soft, smooth, supple skin? Check. ☑️
• visibly refreshed visage? Check. ☑️ 
• hydrated and brightened complexion? Check. ☑️

A great mask all around and one that could work beautifully to prep the skin for makeup. A definite repurchase. 💖

The fit and feel of the Tencel fiber sheet of the My Beauty Diary Sahara Scenedesmus Oil Balancing Sheet Mask was almost perfect, with the only adjustments for me being to widen the corners of the eye and mouth openings, both for fit and to help the material lie flat against my skin. The clear, watery essence was drippy coming out of the packet, but I did not experience any run off once the I applied the mask onto my face. The essence has the fresh, clean signature My Beauty Diary scent but did not linger. 

The mask felt cooling and wore comfortably and smoothly.  Absorption was good - no tack, stickiness or filmy feel. I can't speak to the oil balancing claims of the mask since my skin was not visibly oily on the day I used this mask, but I can say that I loved the finish and feel of my skin after using the mask. My skin drank up the goodness from the essence and felt soft, smooth and supple. My complexion looked visibly refreshed, hydrated and brightened. A great mask all around and one I think would work beautifully as part of prepping the skin for makeup.

Thank you @Cissy63! Yes, I agree. It feels nice to have that cooling against the skin, especially after a long day. Ahhh... I've tried a couple from this series of MBD masks and have loved the ones I've tried. I'm looking forward to using the other ones that I was able to get my hands on. Fingers crossed they turn out just as well. 🤞

@quspork, thank you. Have you tried MBD masks before? I’ve been finding the sheet  masks like this one that the brand released with places referenced in the name to work well for me.

@itsfi I've use a couple like the black pearl and aloe and those have been pretty nice. I know MBD was all the rage at one point, but I was out of the loop originally so have to make up for it now haha!

lol @quspork! I'm right there with you making up for lost time. I hopped on board the sheet mask train later in the Kbeauty glory days. I'd seen MBD masks when I heard or saw friends or friends of friends use them, but I wasn't there yet and, when I first started getting into sheet masks, I was really just all about Leaders, Tosowoong, Etude House and Mediheal for the most part.

@Skunk12puzzola, thank you. The mini Laneige comes in handy. I refill it whenever I work my way through it as it’s more easily portable. And, it makes a lovely add-on to a masking session (and photo op).

I thought I'd relax tonight with the Neutrogena hydrogel mask but I was a little disappointed in it, honestly.  It wasn't as hydrating as I might have expected and the mask--which came in two pieces--was entirely too huge for my face, making it slightly uncomfortable in some ways.

@CookieGirl1  Aw that’s too bad:/.  Hydration is what neutrogena is known for so it’s sad they dropped the ball on this one.

@CookieGirl1 oh how disappointing that this was a mediocre mask for you. Thankfully it did not cause any irritation, though.

@eshoe yeah, it just wasn't that great.  Thankfully I really don't have a problem with sensitive skin so I never really even think about potential irritation, TBH.
