Welcome to the 2024 Masking Challenge!
This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!
Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights ๐ฎ
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
Thank you, @Mellmars1185. I opened a foil sample of Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant 8 oz / 236 mL last night and this morning noticed the bumpy texture has nearly disappeared. That was the first time I have tried that, but so far I am extremely impressed. Hopefully it continues to clear!
@eshoe Glad that worked for you. I will keep in mind a product like that when something similar happens to me. Wish we could get PC here in Canada.
@Mellmars1185, Paulaโs Choice ships to Canada but I donโt know whether there are additional charges for that. You can also find some PC products through Amazon Canada, but Iโm not sure whether the price or markups if there are any make it cost prohibitive. @eshoe
Oh I did not know it was unavailable there, @Mellmars1185! I wonder why๐ค I have used it for the past three nights now and the bumps have nearly disappeared. Nordstrom sells it, too; I wonder if they ship it to Canada?
Detox Dandies - I used a Biore Charcoal Cleanser, Innisfree innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz/ 100 mL , Biossance Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil 1.01 oz/ 30 mL in a sample size and Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream 3.04 oz/ 90 mL sample.

*Edit * I wanted to add this is a perfect theme for my face this week. I have had a few breakouts. Maybe because of the weather change ? I have been eating cleaner and keeping up with my skin routine.
@Mellmars1185, yes to the Innisfree clay mask. ๐๐ผ Glad to hear it is working out for you.
That Innisfree clay mask is a winner in our house. We heard about it from some of the ladies here and got a sample - love that it is not too drying. It's on the list for the next mask purchase.
@missy94612 @quspork The price point is excellent and this tub will last me a long time!
I've heard so many good things about the Innisfree mask, @Mellmars1185!
@Mellmars1185 I love that innisfree mask
@Mellmars1185 haha! You look so cute in your charcoal mask.
@QueenMarceline Thank you ๐ hehe. I think i need to invest in a cozy robe to complete the look! ๐
@Mellmars1185 I highly recommend as I write this from underneath my fluffy robe haha! ๐
Boo for breakouts, @Mellmars1185! I love your cheery masking photo though. That wash-off is a great mask, I think there are a few here would would agree ๐
Mask: The Creme Shop Charcoal & Lemonade Fusion Sheet Mask
This Week: Detox Dandies
I actually wrote my usual full depth review of this detox mask but something in my network connection bugged out and when I hit post, my screen glitched and I lost all my progress. Sigh. So instead of my usual novel I'm going to re-do it in the TLDR version that I usually do in bold within my mask reviews.
My Thoughts:
@QueenMarceline my sympathies to you on losing your original post. That is so painful! Wash-off clay masks are so messy, yes. @lmasterโS tip of using Makeup Erasers to remove her wash-offs is one of my all-time favorite beauty tips.
@eshoe Oh, makeup erasers are my jam. I use them for everything. My sensitive skin cringes at the thought of a "normal tower" hahah.
@lmaster That looks awesome! ๐ I would love to try it but I'm having a hard time reading the brand name off the photo. Could you help me out? ๐
It's lookatme brand @QueenMarceline โค๏ธ
