Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐Ÿ’—

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Mellmars1185 Glad it worked out for you, ๐Ÿ™‚ definitely try it out as a "primer" mask.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Mellmars1185, JMsolutions is a good brand. I tried this mask for the first time a few months ago and to my surprise, really liked it. Hope it worked out for you.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi @QueenMarceline Thank you! I did enjoy it. I found my face was tacky after until i went to bed. I ended up putting serum and moisturizer over it and woke up with very soft skin! I did enjoy this one! I forgot to mention that I used a gua sha that i had put in the freezer to press the mask on and that was a pleas experience.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Mellmars1185, good call on using your gua sha with the sheet mask! ๐Ÿ‘ I need to remember to reach for mine or my roller, or both, more often when masking. Yeah, tack from the serum in a sheet mask can often be taken care of with the rest of a skincare routine. I also like to use sheet masks that leave a tacky feeling as a morning mask - to prep skin for makeup. The tackier ones make for a good primer for the face.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi That is a really good strategy for masking! I am going for a little spa getaway with my fiance next week. Im going to try that before our dinner date!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

A spa getaway @Mellmars1185? Just saying those words is making me feel more relaxed! ๐Ÿ˜ That sounds like a fantastic weekend for you and your fiance.

Definitely give the mask as part of makeup prep a try. The dewy glow that often results with sheet masks is nice but is usually only temporary, but it can work out really well before a night out - the lit from within glow can look beautiful wtih foundation and makeup.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi Yes! Thank you. I am so looking forward to it. I need a little mini vacation.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

This Week: Precious Metals - Platinum, Gold, Silver, Copper & Foil

Sephora Collection The Silver Mask (Glow Booster, Silver Foil Mask)

My last masking experience on this thread and my chat with @Shosh85 reminded me that I also have another one of these Silver masks on hand from the old Sephora Collection releases. I remember really liking these masks so I bought several back-ups when they were still being sold, although I believe this is the last of these golden/silver masks I have left but I will try to see if maybe I'm simply missing them in one of my stashes. However, what better time to use this Silver foil mask then when it's on theme this week? ๐Ÿ™‚ Click the spoiler to see me looking like the Tin Man. ๐Ÿ˜‚

My Thoughts:

Spoiler
IMG-3069.jpg
This mask is very similar to the consistency/elasticity of the golden one I reviewed. This is significantly thicker than the classic SC masks, which I personally enjoy. The mask fits overall much better to the face opposed to the "classic style" Sephora Collection. On par with the other foil masks, this has a light saturation of serum in comparison to most masks. Furthermore, this also has an "elasticity" effect where the mask almost expands a bit to "hug" your face. It's quite a nice fit. The outside of the mask is a silver foil, the inside is a thicker cotton. This definitely has a much stronger scent in comparison to the golden foiled mask. This is a heavier perfume scent than what I am used to in most mask, the scent resembles the Viktor and Rolf FlowerBomb perfume. I really enjoy this perfume particularly but I can see some people not enjoying this heavily perfumed of a mask and personally it was a touch off putting to me at first but not a deal breaker by any means. Instantly when I put it on I felt a medium intensity of tingling on my face, it was not unbearable but for the first minute definitely a bit uncomfortable. This tingling sensation subsided after about ~4-5 minutes and the rest of the masking experience went tingle-free, lol. I believe I kept the mask on for about 20 minutes. Due to it's low level of serum I only kept it on until it felt "damp" on the face although if time allowed I would wear this for longer. After removing the mask, I felt quite a bit of tack but this also subsided after the first few minutes. I actually did this mask last night because I fell asleep right after taking it off (a girl was tired, lol) but I feel like that gave me a bit of advantage to seeing the results. I woke up this morning with a really nice effect on my complexion, I mean HOLY GLOW! I can definitely see why @Shosh85 likes this mask so much (and why I got back-ups of it). It definitely does what it claims to do, which I always can appreciate. I really felt like my face feels and looks super rejuvenated today, I rarely ever get enough sleep and sometimes my "morning skin" can be very dull but oh boy did this make a difference. I'm truly sad that we seem to get amazing limited edition releases for masks from Sephora and then they are gone forever in an instant, I never see these kinds of results with their classic line of masks and I'm starting to wonder why we couldn't get these in particular to be in the permanent line. These came in Silver, Rose Gold and Gold and I think they were quite catchy. I remember my friend buying a bunch of these and getting me hooked on them. I really think they need to bring these bad boys back as a part of some kind of "precious metals" face mask collection. These are catchy enough to sell and they work well enough to have repeat customers.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@QueenMarceline

It's too bad they don't make this one anymore.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@missy94612 It really is ๐Ÿ˜•

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@QueenMarceline  I'm not a huge fan of foil masks, but these were nice ones! Glad you liked the silver mask! I remember liking more than thought I would.
You look great as Tin Man! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Shosh85 Haha, thank you so much ๐Ÿ™‚ I have the same sentiment, foils usually aren't my favorite... I see them as a bit gimmicky (but in a fun way, haha)

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I'm going to have to see if I have any of these left  @QueenMarceline I do remember liking them enough to buy multiple ๐Ÿคฃ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@lmaster They were truly great, not sure why these poofed away from us.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@QueenMarceline, that's great that this mask gave you beautiful glowy results!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi It was super nice to get a winner, finally. It's always a shame that the high performing SC masks are usually limited edition.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@QueenMarceline Sounds like you had a nice relaxing masking session. Great idea on wearing before bed!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Mellmars1185 Yes, it was quite nice ๐Ÿ™‚ only wish they would bring these back.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

๐ŸŒนRoses are red ... or pink actually, in this rose centric masking sesh ๐ŸŒน

F for fruit (acai berry in the hair mask and pomegranate in the hydrogel) and floral (roses, lots of roses)

H for hydration and hydrogel

F - flower (rose).jpg

tl;dr: The scattered rose pieces embedded in the 2-piece Sanctuary Spa Nourishing Rose Petal Hydrogel Mask makes for a pretty presentation, but was otherwise lackluster in terms of its performance and results, at least for someone with dry skin. The very mild hydration this unscented hydrogel provides may be better suited for those with oily, very oily or sensitive skin.

The tgin rose Water Hydrating Hair Mask and the Fresh Rose Petal-Soft Lip Cream, on the other hand, both contained a fresh rose scent, more prominent and noticeable in the lip balm than in the hair mask which had a more fruity but just as pleasant fragrance to it. While I wouldn't characterize either as providing the most hydration and moisturization among other similar  products in their respective categories, they each provided good results in keeping with their claims to add hydration to hair and lips.

Sheet Mask:

Spoiler
The 2-pieces of the Sanctuary Spa Nourishing Rose Petal Hydrogel Mask contain pieces of rose petals scattered about the hydrogel, making for a very pretty mask. I expected there to be a rose scent to this mask but sadly, my nose didn't pick up any scent - nothing. I would have liked a soft, fresh, real rose petal scent but on the bright side, that means no possibility of a headache inducing overpowering scent. This hydrogel mask fits the size, shape and features of my face pretty well, but the piece that covered the philtrum kept sliding down and falling over my upper lip for the entire half hour I had on the mask. Not a deal breaker, just slighty inconvenient; the rest of the mask adhered very well.

I was looking forward to using this mask - I've had good experiences in the past with sheet masks from British brands. This one, however, left me wanting more - it was very lightly hydrating and left a noticeable and lingering tack. This too, is not a deal breaker for me as it becomes a non-issue once I follow up with the rest of my skincare products, but it was another thing to add to my disappointments with this mask. Womp, womp! Hydrogels are not necessarily known for being very hydrating but this one felt even less so, which left my skin, which is leaning more dry at the moment, wanting for more, but would possibly make a nice mask for those with oily or very oily skin who may not need, or like, a lot of hydration from a she mask. It is gentle so this may also be a good fit for those with sensitive skin. For me though, I felt like this mask had a lot of potential but fell short compared to other similar hydrogels in terms of its results, or perhaps I just hyped it up a little too much in my head?

Hair Mask + Lip Care:

Spoiler
Although I was bummed that the hydrogel mask was unscented, the rose scents from the tried-and-true tgin rose Water Hydrating Hair Mask, which @lmaster introduced to this thread a year or so ago, and the fresh Rose Petal-Soft Deep Hydration Lip Balm 0.3 oz/ 10g more than made up for it. Both these beauties have been in my rotation for some time and I do enjoy them. The hair mask has a lightweight, gel-cream consistency, absorbs easily and has a sweet, fruity and rosy scent - the fruity berry scent is the more predominant scent but the fresh rose scent does come through, subtle though it may be. It's a nice combination. My hair feels soft and smooth and has a bit of movement to it.

The jar of Fresh lip balm packs a lot of product - and a lovely scented product, I might add. The consistency of the lip balm initally feels like a soft wax, but it moves easily over the lips and melts into something more emollient and mildly  nourishing as it makes contact with the warmth of my skin. This is a lightweight balm, with a scent that reminds me of fresh, soft rose petals. Ahhh... This balm isn't one I'd reach for in the evenings when I want to get in some extra moisture overnight, but it makes for a nice lip primer in the mornings.

This year is about working my way through my hair masks and lip masks / balms and these two are on the lists of products I'd like to use up before the year is up. I'm not sure whether I'd repurchase the hair mask - that has nothing to do with how the mask performs - it works very nicely and I like the results; I just have a bunch of hair masks and some longstanding favorites - the top ones have been at the tops for a while. As for the lip balm, I could see myself repurchasing another one but I won't really need to as I already have a backup (thank you @quspork!)

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi

What a bummer that the mask didn't perform better; it's really such a pretty mask.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@missy94612, it would have been wonderful if it worked out - I know that everyone has  different experience with sheet masks so this could be a winner for someone else. Had it performed better and had a lovely rose scent, I would consider it gift worthy. ๐ŸŽ
