Welcome to the 2024 Masking Challenge!
This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!
Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights ๐ฎ
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@Kim888, nice seasonal theme to weave into your masking week.
This is a great lineup, @Kim888. I love the PTR but I might have to also seek the other two out to try now!
@Kim888 I already know I love the PTR, but all of these look quite nice. The Purlisse actually looks pretty neat, although it probably would be something I would need to use in targeted areas rather than the whole face. And I wish they would build more Trader Joe's because those pumpkin products always look so great!! Love the pumpkin battle! ๐
@PrettyPaint @I do feel very ready for fall now lol
The L'arvore Lemon mask is very on theme.
Rael Beauty Vitamin C Brighten+Glow Mask
@haleyvvvv Too bad the L'arvore mask wasn't anything special, but I'm glad the Rael mask could make up for it! I've only tried two Rael masks, but liked them both!
I was so pleasantly surprised by the Rael mask. Glad to hear they're also winners for you, @Shosh85!!
Oh wow @haleyvvvv, there are a lot of floral extracts in that first mask. ๐ฎ I actually made a ๐ฌ face when I ran through the INCI list. Glad to hear that your skin didnโt experience any irritation from it but I can see how itโs not a mask youโd repurchase.
Definitely not a repurchase, @itsfi, but since I got it as a sample or part of a pack, it's not so bad.
I'm glad the Rael is a good one!!! @haleyvvvv
@haleyvvvv @I agree about those nose masks - they are very confusing to me
They are SO confusing, @Kim888!!
That's too bad about the first one, @haleyvvvv, you'd think you could at least get a decent amount of brightening out of a lemon mask. But the Rael sounds promising!
I was very surprised about the L'avore mask, @quspork!! I had heard good things. I have a couple other "flavors" of them and I'm curious if they're all like the lemon ones.
โBut it didn't harm me.โ
Way to make lemonade out of a lemon, @haleyvvvv ๐๐ผ ๐!
Lol, it's my standard D grade reasoning, @eshoe. it didn't work but since it didn't cause any negative side effects, not a true fail. ๐
@eshoe Hehe...this made me smile
I donโt remember where I was when I first heard that, @PrettyPaint, but it comes to mind often now. Yesterday I made a special trip to Costco and picked up a supersize jar of colossal garlic and jalapeรฑo-stuffed olives. The entire way home I was looking forward to opening that jar and enjoying a couple. After I parked, I went around to the trunk, opened the door and tumbling out and onto the concrete was my jar. I stood staring at it for a few seconds, kind of feeling pity for all of that pent up excitement I had. Swept everything up and shared it with my husband when he got home. It didnโt take him more than a second to say, โAt least it didnโt break in the house.โ ๐
@eshoe hahah. I totally know that feeling. I've spent lots of time making a yummy treat only to drop it on the floor.
I am tired and totally misread what you wrote at first: "Swept everything up and shared it with my husband" - I interpreted as literally sweeping up the olives from the ground and sharing/giving them to your husband to eat. ๐
Lol nope, @PrettyPaint - unfortunately everything was a loss๐ None for my husband or I! Itโs funny when you read things mixed up like that, though:)
